Condolences to the uncultured swine that eschew the IPA. Your lack of judgement will be noted for further food/beverage/life discussion on these here forums.

People eschew the IPA because it tastes like ****.

Short brew times, easy to produce...brewers have convinced people that you can't be a craft beer fan unless you like to choke down the overly hoppy, biggest joke in "craft" brewing - the IPA. It's a **** beer brewed by every brewer on the planet in 15 different varieties for a reason - it's cheap, easy, and fools are convinced that it's the holy grail of beers. IPAs in winter? Why not!? Forget beers that actually take skill to brew...let's make up some bull**** winter IPA.

Sorry. Eschewing the IPA is real culture. Try again. Go Canes.

I am sorry this bit of truth has triggered you. May the understanding and acceptance of your own shortcomings help you move on and get better.

Ah...the ad hominem response. Original.

Because people dumping on IPAs didn't trigger your initial response? Throw back a few more of those craft brews. I get the feeling that the ol' gears need a little grease.

lol. ok.. IPAs are faking gross. Most people are waking up to the fact that they have been pretending to enjoy them for the past few years.

Love IPAs. Get your taste buds up, boys.

Haha. So you dislike the taste of real beer and require a horrible aftertaste to make it drinkable.

I'm just joking here as beer/alcohol taste is as subjective as music taste but the IPA apologists do tend to come off as more strident than the IPA haters, imo.

I'll take the ribbing. There are lots of IPA lovers with oiled up beards and moleskin notebooks out there. Looking down their hop-loving noses at you tile-tongued ingrates. That said, describing an IPA as something unlike "real beer" is funny.

Do you drink whiskey, Tad? If so, what kind?

Haha. Points for the very accurate and very comical reference to oiled up beards and moleskin notebooks. You may have forgotten to add suspenders to the fashion statement though. My sister lives in Brooklyn- the cultural wasteland....errrr.....epicenter of this doucebaggery.

To be honest, I'm more of a vodka/gin man but strangely people have been forcing some Japanese whisky upon me recently. Some are surprisingly decent. If I'm ordering on my own I usually just go with a Macallan, Michter's or Glendronach. But I'll readily admit that I'm no connoisseur.

Nothing beats a good IPA made with citra hops. This one is a citra hop IPA. I can't wait to get my hands on some.

as a Homebrewer for the last 12 years I can tell you ipas are actually the most expensive beer you can Brew... hops are not cheap.

Whenever I hear somebody say "I only drink cheap light beer, ctaft beer is gross" All I hear is "I prefer a McDonald's hamburger to filet mignon ".

If you can't do a keg stand with it, it ain't ****ing beer.

You can do a keg stand with literally any type of beer.

Bet.

The Turnover Chain NEEDS hot weather type "lawnmower" beer. Low bitterness, easy drinkability. All of these are the direction the brewer should have gone: Modelo Especial, MGD, Red Stripe, Landshark, Bud heavy, Corona, Shiner Bock, Kona Longboard, Lone Star

Bud Light outsells all other beers combined, yet all those people are wrong.
