Now taking the CC job would be stupid IMO. But it definitely shows he's wary and weary of working for Mario. I'm a Mario fan. But I would never want to be a coordinator for him.

Isn’t much of that rep of grinding guys down related to recruiting? Which Dawsons really doesn’t do much.

I think he just really wants to be a head coach. That's what I took from his pressers. This year, he regularly talked about the defense, complimentary football, how many points he needs to score, etc. Head coach thoughts. Don't remember Hetherman, unique soul that he is, ever even mentioning the offense.

With all do respect, you have no idea about the salaries being discussed. He's not taking a 50% pay cut to be a HC.

He also has no idea what Dawsons reason for leaving would be but that hasn't stopped him from throwing Sh*t at the wall and hoping it sticks.

one hundred percent the case that mario and mirabal got their hands out of dawson's bag especially the run game. you gotta be stevie wonder not to notice the changes in timing, formations, sequencing, outside zone runs and importantly players (pringle).

False , it amazes me how many people didn't do their homework on Dawson before we hired him. Houston fans complained about the exact same stuff when Dawson was their OC

Same thing they also told us. Dawson was hot and cold as a oc. Sometimes the offense would look aggressive and then it would change to conservative. Exactly what we see here

Only way you entertain the CC job is if he's intent on being a HC at all costs, because OC at Miami is a much better gig. Personally, I'd prefer he lock in on the CFP and put a pin in the rest of this bull****.

after reading the media reports, it looks like Dawson only spoke with them via telephone, that is the inference.

i doubt he is a serious candidate if he has not had face to face meetings. and i doubt he'd leave coral gables right now to interview in charleston.

Our offense was doing very well at that point in time in 2023. But the fact still remains that all the running up the middle stuff that people blame on Mario and Mirabal is clearly all Dawson being the last school he was OC at complained about the exact samething

Do we not give him credit for adjusting mid season and absolutely killing **** in November to close the season and lock up our playoff spot?

I know the competition wasn’t the greatest but we saw adjustments to the personnel we have

Having an oc that has proven to get production out of multiple waves of qbs and weapons is important for recruiting and development. Id do whatever we can to keep him
