anyone who thinks this is a good thing for miami is sadly mistaken. we are national championship caliber right now, with this roster and staff.

stability is a good thing. can we do better? of course. is it likely? i dont think so.

The grass isn’t always greener. For both parties. How good will Dawson be away from Mario’s recruiting and OL play?

Obviously your OC going to probably a T5 if not the best G5 job kills his OC killer narrative. But I’d rather run it back and see what we can do with another year of Toney, the young WRs, and the RBs we have, than try integrating something new.

I'd rather keep Dawson tbh. Especially now that we've seen what the O looks like when it's not being bro balled.

I don't want any part of a 3 month OC search going on at the same time we're hunting for a transfer QB. That's how we end up settling on Dorsey and stuck with Emory.

I for one would wish him well. Would be another good selling point for Mario in that he just had the #1 pick last year and now his OC just got a HC job. Seems like Mario could take his pick of who he wants as OC and QB from the portal.

Carson Beck threw 4 interceptions and we still could have won the louisvile game

a roughing penalty and a Carson Beck back breaker Interception in overtime broke us vs SMU

wasn't an INCREDIBLE year for the offense but still 20 in most metrics, anyone hating on dawson just is clueless

wasn't all on Beck, either, as much as you like to portray it. Bad playcalling, poor officiating and an arrogant game plan contributed greatly to both losses. Dawson was certainly part of that.

I'm ready to move on. Like him a lot but he way took to long to adapt this year and it cost us.
Not sure he has the mentality to be a HC but I'll root for him.

Have already stated I’d like him back, but you can’t turn that down if they offer him that job. I’ll believe that he is their top target though when I see it. I feel like they can do a little better honestly.

Agreed. That’s a good G5 job. Not sure if you saw it, but they offered to extend Sumrall last night at $4M a year. Comical when you’re competing with the SEC, but my point is, if you can pay $4M for a HC, you’re likely getting someone with more experience in the role than Shannon Dawson, who has zero.
