Tuff and Fizical is how you beat B1G and SEC teams. It's how you can win CFP games.

It's also how we get beat as 10+ pt favorite against some ACC+B12 teams due to their offenses.

If we make the CFP, I'll take that tradeoff.

Also Mario has the guys ready to play in big games.

I’ve waited 21 yrs 362 days for this, 21 yrs 362 long fcking days. I’ve said for the past 15 yrs I don’t care if it happens in a title game, a NY6 game, or a regular bowl game, I need to see Miami rip out the hearts of O$U just like they ripped out mine on 01/03/2003.

When I posted “that’s game” in a PM I’m in, I dropped to my knees w tears just like I dropped to my knees in tears in that cursed Fiesta Bowl, but this time it was tears of admiration & joy.

I’ve not been a fan of the slow progress, & I’ve ?’d many, MANY head scratching moments this season, but building the trenches to impose our will when it mattered, kudos to Mario & the staff. I told @Angry Ibis this CFB team reminds me of the CBB team that went to the Final 4; on paper we were underdogs, but the heart, resilience, & dog mentality willed us.

The baseball team took us on a ride this yr unexpectedly, & now the football team. Seeing a NY6 trophy come home for the 1st time since 2004, seeing us go back to back 10+ win seasons since 2002-2003, this is what I wanted to see…but now since we’re here in the Final 4…in the words of Brodie Westbrook, Why Not? Why Not Us?

Until CFB is played in flags & shorts, tuff & fizical, trench dominance, & a balanced offense are the only ways to win a championship. A pass heavy team will never win one; ever. And u can take that to the bank right now.

If the air raid zealots on this forum, who want MIA to run a pass heavy offense, had any integrity & character they would request to be banned immediately. These weirdos are not real fans of MIA; they're just blood sucking leeches.

We felt we were one of the best teams in the country early in the season, but it took until after SMU to unlock something fun and actually allow the team to be one of the best teams in the country.

Like the b-ball run, the team is making plays, surviving runs, and cracking back.

Also - no pre-snap penalties. Weren’t predictable as key plays were passes, and catches - not drops, not blind runs. That’s coaching and playing with confidence vs nerves.

Like the b-ball run, the team has the confidence to recover and adjust.

**** OSU!

It's funny how so many football fans can watch a game and not realize just how violently one team is playing. The Canes were BY FAR THE MORE VIOLENT TEAM today.

Julian Sayin got his head SLAMMED into the turf on a sack early on. He got shook and started getting rid of the ball earlier.

Carnell Tate made two nice catches and got absolutely lit the **** up on both catches. He got rattled and alligator-armed a critical 3rd down pass in the fourth quarter.

Bo Jackson ran hard early but got stuck hard 3 times in the second half. He ran a lot more timidly in the fourth quarter.

The big tight end #89 got stuck several times. He played tough but didnt produce late.

Great win for the Canes Defense. Pure violence!!
