Sure. We play in ACC, this defense should be elite in this conference. They just dont travel well to other conferences. Wisconsin three times, USCe, Lsu, Florida.

His first start was a year earlier after Kenny Kelly went down. And he averaged 50 points a game for the rest of the regular and a 30 point Gator bowl win over Ga Tech. A better example would be his first action when he took over for Kelly at Va. Tech. He had a deer in the headlights look. We all hope that Williams shows as quick a development that Dorsey had.

That Washington game, if I remember correctly, Miami put themselves in a hole in the first half by a bad special teams play (even then) and a Dorsey fumble deep in Miami territory. Also, I know someone who went to the game and coincidentally stayed at the same hotel as the refs and afterwards, witnessed them joking about how they jobbed Miami. (They must have been Big 12 refs). And I'm not one who normally blames refs. Dorsey didn't play that badly, he just ran out of time to come back.

Of course it is all mostly speculation anyway based off of last season and projections for this season.
I will watch this weekend to see if there are 10 better defenses but I doubt many will pass my eye test,

We’ll be a top 25 d if we stay healthy , but **** we’re thin.

Willis had a huge part in that d last year and we have nobody close to that.
