Ive been reading the boards and twitter, and for people to think Randy Shannon is goin to have a bigger impact on SoFla than TRob is crazy...... Randy wasnt well liked at alot of schools unlike Trob who everyone loved... the only decent recruits he got to Arkansas was JoJo Robinson and Denver Kirkland..... h3 did not recruit Alex Collins that was all Partridge..... he wont have a big impact, just a presence in South Florida for that staff....

Al Golden's impact on South Florida > T-Rob, Shannon, and everyone else combined.

Shannon is irrelevant. We will continue to get destroyed in our own backyard as long as Golden is here.

There will always be a TRob. And a Shannon. And a Coley, Hurtt, and on and on.

If you have a legit coach who can win with what he has, those guys have nothing to sell against you, and the recruits come. It boggles my mind that people think the chicken (recruiting) comes before the egg (coaching winning ball).

My suspicion is that Ice is going to wait for Butch, on the premise that Treon will get to transfer down here under an Open QB competition.

I don't think that Butch is sold on Kaaya.
 
I know you want to find piece with whats going on but man let's be real. UF has a Broyles Award winning LB coach now. Not only was Randy a dominate Defensive Coordinator he coached some of the most prolific athletes in the NCAA.

You fooling yourself if you don't think this is a huge deal for UF and bad for UM
 
it's not a huge deal and he developed less than half of the players you put on that list. SMH it's amazing how someone legend can grow just because of the asshats currently employed at UM

Your wrong... guess u never saw the Sam Shields story when he signed with Green Bay..... lol... those Coaches killed the staff dor how he wasnt properly developed.... your kidding yourself if u think he developed them.... do you research before u go spewing bullsh*t

A Defensive Coordinator doesnt develop talent, position coaches do.... he picks the players fit for his scheme, but its the position coaches job to develop them...
 
So in one season shields was supposed to be a polished corner.

They dumber everything down for shields to display his talents in one year. They could have thrown everything at him in one year so he can be confused and look like our current defense.

Or how bout maybe lay the blame with shields for not taking football serious until his last year. Funny how many other defensive players have had the same issue that shields had. I'll wait, I have time.

Sam Shields never played DB and only switched to DB in the summer/fall because he was injured during most of spring. Randy and staff did not have the time to teach him everything about playing defense. So he got a crash course in defensive philosophy.

So UM focused on his technique which is why he did so well for UM and in Greenbay's camp.

Use commons sense. U named one player out of how many successful NFL players that played under Shannon? How can one player get it when the other doesn't? It's the player buddy. Sam Sheilds even said so himself and his father thanksed Shannon for his approach with the kid.

The Detroit Lions luaded randy Phillips for his understanding of the game. He even made the team. Both were coached by Shannon ....just because you can't find a real reason Shannon sucked doe st mean you ahe. To cheer lead or try to appear like u know what you're talking about.

I'll tell u what some of you really expose yourself as a person with some of these comments.
