LSU has Garrett Nussmier, likely the 1st overall pick next season. Before that they had Jaden Daniels, before that they had Max Johnson who had 27TDs 6INTs, before that they had Joe Burrow not including the covid year. They have had solid QB stability for awhile and next in line is Michael Van Buren who was a true freshman starter at Miss State. Texas AM is different, they can just outbid everyone if they truly want someone, we can't do that. We have a very solid NIL program but we will never be at the same level of schools like Texas, Texas A&M and etc. Unfortunately Dereon Coleman is not a very big name to sell to WR recruits even though he's extremely underrated.

It’s the same **** every year, haven’t had a big name HS QB since 5 star Kyle Wright that could attract 5 star WRs like Ryan Moore and Lance Legget, all 3 were busts but that’s beside the point

This ×1000. I don't know why anyone is surprised by this. If you thought we had a legit shot for this kid then I want what you're smoking. 5 star OOS WR? We just don't get those types of players. We may sign a 5 star WR but they would have to be from Florida and that is a challenge all in itself.

Now that we have been awakened by a bucket of ice water we can now focus on the kids that we need to focus on at WR.
1. Calvin Russell
2. Jasen Lopez
3. High 4 star kid who is legitimately interested.
4. Kid who is currently a 3 star but is much better than his rating and we get him because we "discovered" him before anyone else did and offered before he started blowing up with offers.

@Rellyrell thank u! Ppl act like it’s Kevin Beard’s fault but this kid is in SEC territory & was always an SEC lean. Ppl always wanna **** on our coaches doe (BIG PAUSE)! If they deserve it den give it 2 em (BIG PAUSE) but in this case no. Now if Beard doesn’t get Russell to kommit den let him have it (BIG PAUSE)!

Past history is one thing, I typically dont get into "they broke the bank for him"

But I think this may be one case where LSU is needing to overspend to cover up what an absolute douche and scum Brian Kelly is..

I mean is it far fetched that another 9-4 type season puts him on the hot seat? Way to many resources to be Gumbo Fisher.
