he said he had to for his family. needed the money. he knew the risks when he declared. maybe if we paid them we could get them to stick aroundThe main guy i was surprised we had leave early was Bandy. He loves the U, and could of benefited By staying another Year. Deejay is a true cane, but il never fault an RB for leaving early.
Oh so you are saying that kids from "urban areas" in S Fl don't have the same code of ethics as respectable kids from the heartland. And the S Fl kids are surrounded by "thugs" who don't teach integrity or value team work.dude it has a lot to do w where youre from and who youre surrounded by. LT and marshall will leave early too if they pan out
no but you showed your true colors by associating it with race. im from miami so dont try that **** on me. never once did i say that but your own racial bias is showing with that statement. also, lmao at ******* ethics. jesus, you guys are up in your feelings.Oh so you are saying that kids from "urban areas" in S Fl don't have the same code of ethics as kids from the heartland. What's that? Do I hear a dogwhistle?
You literally just claimed LT and Marshall would leave early because of where they are from and who they are surrounded by. I doubt you know them personally so your assertion is based purely on where they are from and the people you assume are around them. That's called stereotyping. Don't get mad at me for your own words.no but you showed your true colors by associating it with race. im from miami so dont try that **** on me. never once did i say that but your own racial bias is showing with that statement.
You're so wrong.he could literally be all of those things. you haven't met him nor do you know him.
Greg quit on his teammates. He saw a payday (much less than what Lawrence's will be) and used covid as an easy out. At least its not a 5th round - undrafted projection like past Canes. We need to get rid of this mentality that has been plaguing us for years and get guys who loves football. We used to have guys like these.he could literally be all of those things. you haven't met him nor do you know him.
why dont you read my reply. i never once said it was bc of thugs round them you did. in fact geta never even mentioned that either. he was saying the same thing i did -- these kids train and are around the guys that came before them that make it big into the league or even for a cup of coffee but still make it. they strive to make it to the league. You literally just claimed LT and Marshall would leave early because of where they are from and who they are surrounded by. I think it really depends on the player & situation. While it's true that both winning & losing programs have JR's who decide to enter the draft early, on winning teams there's typically more players who decide to come back for their SR yr despite receiving an early rd grade from the NFL. In order for MIA to take the next step we need players that decide to come back for their SR yr, not only because they received a low or mid rd grade, but because they're in pursuit of winning and becoming the best player they can possibly be. There has to be the right balance on the roster. The successful teams have it. I wasn't hypothesizing about anything. I was speaking facts based on surveying the current landscape of CFBno one will stay past their junior year if theyre legit. it just wont happen. go geta literally knows some of these kids and their backgrounds. may wanna listen vs hypothesizing on something you dont know about
That is not the same when draft eligible players leave early. Everyone knew greg was gone at end of season and we would of gave him his roses on the way out, heck most would help push him out. What would be comparable is if they sat out last season.. Greg has the right to leave and people have a right to have their opinion. Him leaving and then going on media tour with family to say he is scared of dying of covid because he weighs 265 is just ridiculous. Just say Rosenhaus showed up and me and my family made a decision. End of story. Not freaking I am scared of covid, I might die. thats spitting on people and saying its rain. Some of y'all are attempting to preach what a "winner" is to dudes who have never played a snap of football in their life nor care to. Try telling that to actual players and watch them laugh in your faces LOL. Then saying that Greg is selfish and loser because he opted out smh. If there wasn't a deadly virus out there I'd somewhat agree with you but there is, that's the anomaly here. Some players MAY see this as an out to avoid playing so that they can prepare for the Draft while other players may have underlying illnesses or family/friends that have passed or are severely sick from this disease.
As far as the juniors staying for their senior seasons, which player in the past that left early was going to help get us to a NC? Bandy staying was going to fix our OL and inconsistent receivers? LSU, OSU, Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, etc are in playoff contention every year not because they're returning a boatload of juniors, but because they recruit and develop players behind those juniors well. It definitely could help but that's not why we've been so average for almost two decades.
Nine players, who could have stayed,"quit" on LSU after winning a NC. I wonder if their fans call the players out of their names and speculate why they didn't stay or do they get excited because the younger guys behind those players will help put the team right back into contention.
Gimme a Rusty Medearis over GR.He's a winner that's why. He loves football and loves playing for his guys. We need to bring in more guys who love football.
1.) While it's true there's currently a pandemic, It also cannot be disputed that MIA players choose to forego their SR yr despite receiving mid to low rd grades from the NFL at an alarming rate. Some of y'all are attempting to preach what a "winner" is to dudes who have never played a snap of football in their life nor care to. Well of course it isn't the same. That doesn't change the fact that a school like PSU is praising Parsons with his decision, not upset about something out of their control. You do have a right to your opinion just like I have a right to say that you have no basis for your opinion. You're speculating and formulating every negative thought that you can muster because you're upset. That is not the same when draft eligible players leave early. Is he gonna shelter in place til Covid disappears? Will he hide til draft time in bunker? What if covid is still around til next year will he lose weight to play or sit out? Will he train with other people, Is he testing every single person around him everyday and whoever is around them?
Not speculating or suggesting anything, I just asked a normal followup questions for someone who is afraid of tested players. Heck there might not even be a season at all, let alone a full one. You go ahead and move goal post tho..Well of course it isn't the same. I, unlike yourself, can acknowledge that I don't know what he'll do for shelter or training. Let's wait it out and see. Suggesting what you think he will and won't do doesn't change the decision. There are people much more knowledgeable than both you and I who perhaps advised Greg on the pros and cons of playing or training yet Greg made what he believed was the best decision.
1. They sure enough do. I don't believe now is the time to try to stand on that, especially when we have a legit 1st round prospect. Shaq and Pinck stayed so hopefully that starts to set precedence.1.) 2.) What would've happened last yr if Joe Burrow decided not to come back for his Sr yr? Would LSU have won the NC? Christian Wilkins & Clelin Ferrell didn't help Clemson win the NC 2 yrs ago??
3.) Leaving early for the NFL is always easier to justify when your team wins a NC, than if you're currently playing on a dumpster fire, which only reinforces all of the pts that i've made in this thread.
That's for Greg to answer not myself. And as I've said, there's a possibility that he already answered those questions with actual professionals. Not speculating or suggesting anything, I just asked a normal followup questions for someone who is afraid of tested players. This is embarrassingIf I were his parents I would not allow it. He might easily get wrapped up in social pressure, or wanting a championship. But his advisors need to tell him it’s not in his interests. It’s simply too weird that I have to assume money is at play.
