Sad situation, hope this kid uses this as motivation, I once was in a similar situation and from experience it made me a better player. This very same thing also happened with Mirmar's current RB where he committed to WVU with his teammates Lewis and McFadden and he stated he witnessed the dark side of recruiting when they said his offer was not committable
Did he find out after he committed? What is a non-committable offer anyway? Like a false pregnancy? I think some more ruthless schools would actually let a kid think they have an offer, string 'em along, and then tell them down the road they don't. Similar to what happened to those kids who committed to Cincy and had their offers pulled when coaches changed--I think it was Tuberville who told them their offers weren't good anymore. You could probably make the offer stick legally, but who wants to enter a program where the coach will hate you for just being there.
