Treon

I watched Rosier at the Miami camp and he is isn't that much taller. Stronger arm, but not as accurate as Treon.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Kid's a football player. Give him a legitimate shot at QB and the kid will soon figure out what's best for his future.

So why doesn't he back out of this game if he isn't playing QB? He obviously is backing out of UM for that same reason. Sounds like BS to me.

I swear some of you guys hate him for no reason. Treon has said multiple times that he is open to a different position, he just wants a shot to prove himself at QB. He has said that he was training his DB skills with his brother in the summer. I mean we are telling Torrance Gibson that he could play QB here and the only thing he has on Treon is Size and a bigger arm(but his arm is bigger than most QBs).

Who said I hate him? You need to work on your reading comprehension. Kid is a hypocrit. Even the game organizers are in agreement about him playing QB at a higher level.

I just wanted to know why he isn't skipping the game for the same reasons he is skipping out on UM?

Im not sayin Treon is that kind of kid to deliberately start sh*t, but he's a local kid, tight with a LOT of the guys we have coming in. We COULD theoretically end up with one of those QB controversies, which ends up becoming a proxy fight, where all the local kids are feeling like Treon should be the QB, while others dont, and you end up with a divided locker room. Remember the Ryan Collins mess. There was a bit of that with Jacory too when Marve was struggling.

Bingo. I think this is exactly what Golden is worried about. Now that we are starting to get some ballers from BTW again the last thing we need is to get into another *****fest with Ice and yes, it also has the potential to create lockerroom issues between the local kids and the other kids. We don't need anymore Jacory and his boys factions. This has the potential to be an absolute disaster if everyone isn't convinced that the competition went fairly and certain people don't trust "them boys from up north".

I like the way the staff is playing it...they are being honest from the outset and we aren't playing games. Unlike FSU we aren't going to double cross anyone. God forbid we actually get rewarded for doing the right thing with these kids. I'm sure Ice is well aware that he's getting played by Fisher, but he's using it as leverage right now to get a QB offer and it isn't going to happen. Golden needs to stay the course, even if HBK decommits. Because once that QB offer goes out and should that kid not be able to beat out Baby Jesus or Rosier or whoever is there, the **** will hit the fan.

Don't even go there.

What he means is a kid FSU lied to about the position he would play to get him into school and play him at the spot everyone else said he would play at but didn't have the heart to deceive the kid. They did that with Boldin just as they are doing here.

FSU will stoop as low as you can go in recruiting to get kids. This is why they are so successful. Between this and their bagmen (cough...Trevor Ford) and employing POS coaches like the Chest who would go around scaring kids families about going to Miami by taking out a newspaper clipping about Marlin Barnes murder from his wallet and other bush league bull****...you've got a perennial powerhouse program. Ofcourse it's all based on deception, cheating, dishonesty and a lack of integrity but its a formula that's worked quite well for almost 30 years for them.

And I love how we are always the whipping boy for everything but when FSU played hardball with Thomas, you didn't hear a peep outta ol Ice.

they need someone who is willing to be a back up QB for most of his career.... Treon Harris aint trying to sit behind Kaaya and Olsen for 4 years.

Just don't understand the hate for Rosier. Kid has been solid. Hasn't wavered (at least not publicly) and has a huge arm. Moves well in the pocket and throws well on the run. If he doesn't come fine. We will get another QB. But I think people are under-selling his ability for whatever reason.

He claims other offers just from no other major programs. I'm actually surprised because I think he has a tremendous arm. Don't know how many camps he has gone to though either.

To me, Treon still reminds me of a shorter Jacory: throws some pretty rainbows but those are easy picks at the next level.

after watching one of bour broadcast i think it was John Congemi that brought up the point about Coley liking baseball guys @ QB. Guys with a baseball background..(Stephen played baseball i think also).....welll their u go with Rosier...hes a baseball kid....and i guess he favors Russell Wilson in resemblance. Because watching his film im still not enamored...and he is only 5'11 also.

Maybe like stated hes a kid that if he doesnt beat out the starter is content beig a team guy...and also playing baseball for the canes. IDK.

Theres credence to the bseball thing from fsu...with EJ MANUEL and Jameis Winston being baseball guys.
 
I have alluded to this before. I am fairly certain that Rosier is being recruited because he is a baseball player...if he can play football too, then its an added bonus.

Why would he turn down an opportunity to play in the most prestigious high school all-star game? I'm sure if they said, they only wanted him to be a kicker he would had taken that opportunity and slipped on a AA jersey... Different scenarios man... Even you should be able realize that...
