From King's high school, Manvel TX.. former 4 star cb, class of 2018.
An all-district selection at Manvel, Gordon earned more than 30 FBS scholarship offers during a productive prep career. He was considered the class' No. 40 cornerback recruit in 247Sports 2018 composite rankings and verbally committed to Penn State in March 2017,

Gordon saw limited action on defense and special teams as a true freshman in 2018, appearing in an early out-of-conference matchup and then each of the program's final three contests, including the Citrus Bowl.

He took a step forward last season, entering 10 games and finishing as as a second-teamer on the final depth chart. Gordon delivered his most productive performance against Memphis in the Cotton Bowl, totaling five tackles.

Gordon was asked to switch his position to Safety to provide depth before 2020 season -

Are banda, rump even Diaz just inept when it comes to bring in true corners? I mean.... if these guys are gonna rely on the portal every year they are not gonna hit on a Bolden and that DE they got every year.

Manny doesn't care about the position. When asked about it, he said the #1 attribute he looks for in a corner is TACKLING.
