— A top three of Ohio State, Washington, and Miami has emerged for Top247 Pflugerville (Texas) WR Tre Moore. Miami and Washington are seen as the major threats for Moore, and sources give the Huskies the edge for the big-bodied receiver. Moore will visit Miami on May 29 and Washington on June 19. There's not yet a date for his Ohio State visit, but it would most logically be on either the June 5 or June 12 weekends. Miami could make a push, but the buzz behind Washington is tough to ignore at this point.

Class is very good right now as it stands but it’s hard to ignore all the losses that we were led to believe we were either trending for or at the very least right in the thick of things.

Think when you are recruiting elite of the elite and everyone has money, you will take many Ls just because of the law of avgs.. Some of the situations just set us up also, like DJ Jacobs being all canes and family being sold only for him to flip last minute, and MJC being canes and miami highstepping with twitter post and such only to fumble and say too much before reaching the finish line, those are high profile misses..

Now the local kid at position where we are highlighted as trench school, best prospect in awhile and where we will actually spend money but not enough and another high profile miss. Maybe need to take money for Matthews and double down on Jacobs and/or MJC.

Naturally but as you stated, it’s the misses that we were lead to believe we were favorites for that sting. Of course then you have Wright which was a surprise that off sets some of it. Now Wright was a flip target and it wasn’t like we had no shot but most were not penciling him in the class like a couple that we missed out on.

Is that t fault of the people among the unrealistic statements, or the fault of the people choosing to believe the unrealistic statements?

We have (3) 5 stars committed. That is an incredible result for UM football, and on a historical level. We won’t have (5) and maybe not even (4) 5 stars committed. But so what? We never were going to. That is not how NIL budgets work, regardless of whether someone is from Ft. Lauderdale or Ft Wayne.

If people want to keep falling for the 3 card Monty dealer, I don’t blame the dealer. I blame the people falling for it.

@JZCane0825 has a brand. He’s the acerbic contrarian who revels in other people having negative reactions. But it’s all an act. He doesn’t mean 99% of what he writes.
So you have a few choices dealing with him; 1. Put him on ignore, 2. React and give him energy, 3. Enjoy the comedy value of the posts.

As a Maude I can’t have him on ignore, and option 2 isn’t happening, so it’s’ option 3 for me. Enjoy the ridiculous comedy. It’s pretty good once you understand what he’s doing.

Why were they unrealistic statements? You believe that we weren’t leading for DJ Jacobs and MJC up until shortly before they announced? So everyone from our local writers to the national writers were FOS? Did both local and national writers not have us as favorites for Matthews? Did our local guys not feel we get either Matthews or Olu for a stretch there?

I’m sorry but this is just retro reframing of what happened. Again, I said the class itself is very good, if you want to get into semantics and felt I should have said amazing or elite, fine…

Then here come the NIL budget platitude as though most in here don’t understand it at this point. Based on the info we are getting from DMoney, and I’ll stand by saying he isn’t a 3 card Monty dealer, the only one were we just passed on was Olu.

Again, great class as is but we have taken some gut punches as we were hopeful to have a shot at a historic class.
