You absolutely kick the tires on Lejond. My buckeye buddies who are plugged in said he came in thinking he was hot **** and got humbled but was playing well this spring. My guess is he's salty he's not starting or getting first team reps so he's moving on. We should do our due diligence though cause his length and speed is rare.

Bro them Defensive lineman at TAMU are in for a rude awakening come August...

They‘re gonna be in the lockeroom looking at the Depth chart sheet like, “5th team, wtf is that?”

How do you know there jags? None of them have played! Don't it take 2 or 3 years for unnamed players you labeled jags to get on the field?..especially the trenches.
To be named later means players that fail to develop.

His coverage @:18 highlight is exactly why OH ST was stupid for playing him at Safety instead of Corner.

That was textbook coverage, he has naturally fluid hips & his speed turn ability can’t be taught, he worked mirror technique & read his man perfect & was on his hip pocket to that get deep route PBU.

Miami hasn’t had a CB that can cover downfield deep routes properly since Artie Burns & Malek Young.

He would be the fastest CB on the team the day he sets foot on Greentree, really hope we pursue him 🙏🏾

He’s a natural Press man cover corner, OH ST had him playing off-ball Zone Safety, wtf were they doing lol

His Dad works for the XFL in Dallas, so I would imagine he’ll be looking to go back home.

But he’s not starting at Texas, they’re entire Secondary is upperclassmen Juniors/Seniors, plus they just got Ryan Watts from OH ST & signed 2 CB’s & a Safety in the 21 class & 3 Safeties & 2 CB’s in the 22 class.

If Playing time is really the #1 factor, Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, SMU, Houston & Miami would be the best spots for him.

Is he a CB or a Safety?

He played Safety at OH ST, but CB in HS at IMG.

He’s a speedster, he ran a 4.39 at the Opening when he was in HS, but OH ST put him at Safety because they had Sevyn Banks, Cameron Brown at CB with young guys Jakailin Johnson & Ryan Watts behind them, then at Safety they had Josh Proctor, Marcus Hooker & Marcus Williamson with Lathan Ransom rotating in.

What basically happened as to why Watts, Banks & now Lejond all leaving is Denzel Burke came in as a TF & took a starting spot at Nickel, then after Banks got hurt they moved Williamson to Corner, which left Watts & Lejond on the bench. Then after Kerry Coombs left & went to Cincinnati, OH ST brought in a new DC Jim Knowles from OK ST & a new CB’s coach (my guy Perry Eliano from Cincinnati) Knowles brought Tanner McCalister with him which pushed Banks out the door & Watts already got passed up by Burke & Williamson.

Plus they have Jakailin Johnson (another STL DeSmet kid), Jordan Hancock from the 21 class at CB & added Ryan Turner from Nade in the 22 class, then at Safety signed three 4-star Safeties in the 21 class & landed another local 5-star Ohio kid Sonny Styles at Safety in the 22 class.

So the room filled up quick & Lejond realized he wasn’t gonna play.

But, to answer the question, IMO he’s a CB if he were to come to Miami because we’re desperate for perimeter speed CB & he could play immediately for us at that spot, if he were to play Safety here he would be behind JWill, JoJo & Tae, plus Markeith is coming in the Fall.
So in other words, TAKE HIM YESTERDAY.

Baylor would be the best move for him. Immediate factor in Aranda’s defense
