Dont be surprised if its FSU. Link is on top of the portal as well as anyone and he will want a front line lefty to eat up whats leaving in Arnold (BTW..we are the only team that truly hit him around).
Is Miami active reaching out to any of these top tier guys...or nah?

I dont know...I'm out of the loop for the most part other than I could still probably find out info on Mid-Atlantic Guys if I asked around.

I know if Miami wants to hire me for some type of admin position I could absolutely kill it as a transfer portal/recruiting coordinator. I've said before my one small regret in coaching was not working the camp circuit on the whole east coast when I was young to maybe make a connection to someday coach at Miami. My ego is not one where I need to be the head coach either. I'd be fine with a "jack of all trades" type position.

Go get McElvain....is he a do not contact?

Thats front line stuff. I didnt know he went in.

If we had the stars aligned and got him and Valcinus and a catcher with what we return and are bringing in....JD will have an Omaha like roster...still a few holes but def not a "feel good" story and Cuvet Carrying us offensively to save a season

UF just landed ND’s Sunday starter.
FAU Ace Lefty Trey Beard is in the portal. Originally from Dunedin. All American caliber arm

**Entered with a "Do Not Contact" tag. Gonna guess this one is wrapped up to UF.

I've only seen MD's field once but it looked like a launch pad down the lines. Looked his numbers up and the majority of his homeruns are there...so def can see why he wants to go prove himself

Paging UM staff

Assumed UF because they're sitting at home with time to start tampering. Link is moving quick for FSU as well.

Haven't seen us mentioned for anyone aside from Brylan West. We're still playing so we think we can slow play it.
That would be dumb.

Canes had a weekend series at Maryland back in 2007, being 30 minutes from campus I attended series and talked to some of the locals who practically live in the bar across campus, so they knew a lot of the coaches. Anyways, they were telling me the Maryland coach Terry Rupp enlisted the services of one of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays groundskeepers to work on their field because Rupp felt it was not in very good shape. As the local told me, the groundskeeper told Rupp the pitcher's mound was not legal and it was not even 66 feet from home plate....similar observations with the base paths. They were wondering how the school got away with playing on that field. I was astounded when I heard that one. Then again my pub friends were degenerate alcoholics so who knows....lol

Magaña played for Columbus, I watched a majority of their games. I would not expect him to start, he needs to put on some weight and fast.

I would not be shocked if he ends up in a similar situation to Adrian Arezega
Magana could hit but can’t play infield, more likely a Dh a first baseman or corner outfielder down the line

I mean it's cuz Magana had the early draft hype and coming from Braddock, hoping he's the next yoyo.. but I have heard he lost a lot of size/weight coming from Braddock to Columbus.. You're right about the Doral kid though... kids entire HS stats scream big time gamer... In your opinion, if Magana puts on 15lbs over the summer/fall, is his batting advance enough to be a DH as a FR?? Just trying to stack as many .300+ batters on the lineup as possible and he's a switch hitter.
The only thing regarding Doral kid and his HR#’s, no doubt he has power but that Doral Academy field is really small. I believe his 12 HRs #s may be a bit inflated.

He will still get his but just pointing out the home field aspect.

Braddock is another small field.

The Braddock field they brought the fence in use to be 340 ft in left field back then and the Doral field is really small, but booths of those kids could hit, Milano and magana they would hit in any field
