Everyone gets beat. I just have a hard time believing a scheme is stopping Howard from being on the Thorpe list. I mean, Gunter, Crawford, Burns and Elder have all played better than Howard.

Exactly. Even when we do play press, which the whiners keep saying is Howard's strong point, he is still the corner most likely to get beat on our team.

17 yards off the WR. They run 5 yard hitches............turn........and all the CB has to do is miss the very open field tackle

What coverage has a CB align at 17 yards?

And if I'm a CB and I'm asked to play off coverage then there's probably supposed to be somebody underneath me, covering the flats. THAT is who's supposed to guard the hitch not the CB.

The freakin' kid plays a ton of press-man here, and he takes his share of beatings.

Most of the guys here are so blinded with hate for this staff, they will never accept that Tracy simply is not as good as advertised. No matter the coverage he will get toasted all season long.

I'm not completely happy with the staff either but not EVERYTHING is their fault.
 
Howard was overrated and was never the best corner in the country like he was rated. Howard plays an average 3 star player and that is what eh should have been. A 5 star player has all the tools, Tracy does not have speed.

Butch Davis would have Howard playing at an All-ACC level.

The speed issue has already been clowned.

Butch Davis would have recruited a less refined player who is a much better athlete. Compare him to Vernon Hargreaves their freshman seasons it isn't even close

I'm shocked we still have people bagging on the players, have they not learned?

Glad to see Howard is now just your average 3* recruit, don't ever remember hearing that during the recruiting process.

Would easily be taken in the first two rounds under Butch. With Grohlden and Doritos, will probably be a free agent and ball after a few years of real coaching and development.
