Tracy Howard

LOL at the stupid facqits who dogged this kid. If he's good enough to make it in the NFL, especially as an UFA, then the ***** should have gotten a lot more out of him here.

I give Howard (or his agent) credit for signing with the Browns. Terrific handicapping. It was already well known that Gilbert was a bust and would likely be traded or cut. Kiper described the Cleveland roster as a glorified expansion team.

I always have to wonder about undrafted free agents who sign with teams already well stocked at the position. Waived players do not get picked up by other teams. That's the forever ongoing malarkey during exhibition telecasts. You aren't auditioning for anyone else. The rest of the league doesn't care about you, with very few exceptions. The key is to identify that ideal team from the outset immediately after the draft. Howard's choice enabled some margin for error. He didn't have to be top NFL caliber. He needed to be current Cleveland caliber.

Wasn't Howard the CB who scored on a pick-6 against Virgina, on their opening driven of the game, only to get benched for not playing his assignment?

knew he would make it after i watched one game......but not because his coverage he still struggled....his run support was real good and he look way faster and he wasnt thinking just playing

I didn't think he'd make an NFL roster. If you consider the Browns an NFL roster. Still though, good for him. He can be useful in a scheme that fits his skillset. He's physical but not very fast. Good bump zone guy.

Lol at people trying to rationalize it by it being the Browns like they aren't a NFL team. Pretty sure most of you said he wouldn't make a NFL roster period, not unless it's the Browns. Stop the spinning.

Are our fans that bad that they have to discredit the team to throw shade at one of our former players?

Dude came here when he could of went anywhere else in country and leave like the majority of the super talented kids down here did when we were down or on probation. Dude played under one of the worst staffs ever and basically didnt have a college position coach or coordinator. I for one congratulate him and wish him a long productive career.

I guarantee you there are alot of guys who would like to make any roster right now who are on the street who have to get a real job, even the player minimum for nfl is still living the dream. Dude gets to play a kids game and get payed for it. Salute!

He will be a safety in the future. He won't need blazing speed for that position ala Mike Rumph and Antrel Rolle. Howard could have a nice career in the NFL.

made it to the pros despite playing in a scheme that neutered him and for a coaching staff that set him up to fail

probably would've been a 2nd round pick if he'd gone to alabama
