Agree with Macho

Dude was always slow but he had some amazing hips... And he was strong for his size... But I don't know how he got 5 stars... He was overrated... When I mentioned this I was negged .... He never jumped out at any high school game as a top athlete..

I've been saying this since the end of his sophomore year in 2013.

It was clear to me then that he was not the talent that we thought he was.
 
While y'all keep patting yourselves on the back for calling out how overrated he was, I'll be rooting for the kid to find his place on an NFL roster. Hopefully, it works out for him with the Browns.

It's a head scratcher that for sure. Didn't he excel in press coverage in HS? We know he wasn't asked to do that at UM. I think it was lousy coaching and a passive game plan on defense that ended up being too much of a hurdle. He showed flashes, but you could also see in his body language playing in that system was soul crushing.

Great post. Golden f'd up on a lot of things, sure maybe Saban could have got something more out of TH, but I don't think TH ceiling would have become a lot higher with another coach.

I hope he does well too. By all accounts he's a good kid and a hard worker.

I thought it was all about talent? Why wasn't he drafted?

When we win (or have high picks) it's all about the player.

When we lose (or don't have draft picks) it's the coaches' fault.

Classic.

I'm not patting myself on the back, I'm simply stating that I knew for a long time he wasn't the talent most people on here thought he was. And I got killed for saying so throughout the years.

All that being said, I'll certainly be rooting for him too. He is a fine young man by all accounts.

I said this a while ago. 5 stars should be for players like Patrick Peterson. He wasn't even close to Peterson coming out of high school.
