Mario is doing pretty well if you look at the DIRECTION of the program and not the TOTAL WINS over the same period of time.

Mario has 2 more wins and 1 less loss of improvement. Only DeBoer, Lashlee, Pry, and Venables can boast as much or better. Thank God we didn't hire a scrub like Riley, Lanning, or Kelly because they clearly can't keep their programs on coarse.

That PLUS Marios recruiting and he is the ELITE of the list.

All these mopes need to STOP CHASING WINS.

Like I said in another thread, Mario is not as smart and thorough as he thinks he is. Do I still support him? Yes. But do I have more reservations than I did before? Absolutely.

Not making an excuse

But this shows how important coordinator hires are especially when u dont control either side of the ball

If he comes in and hires a similar offense to lashlee instead of just doing a complete shift with gattis i guarantee year 1 is at least the same record as manny last year and maybe an improvement because the schedule was weaker.

Since he made bad hires year1 and had to clean house after, we are basically a year behind the typical timeline.

Hopefully we find a qb that can elevate us because our roster looks kinda young this year, a top qb could be a bridge to the future when his recuits are fully ready

DeBoer, then everyone else.
Elko gets honorable mention.

4 Coaches have sub .500 records. No need to overthink this.

If Mario doesn't improve and resigns or gets fired here can you see him getting another shot at a power five program as the HC?

The only coach who’s substantially improved their program is DeBoer.

Everyone else has maintained or regained the programs previous performance.

I’m not saying Cristobal is lighting the world on fire, but the PROGRAM is only moderately improved (+2 games).
