Tourney Central (It’s time for ball!)

Loved the fight in the guys after Friday. Expectation has to be Omaha next year and contend in '21. Anything less will be a disappointment. This experience can only help. Congrats to Gino, the coaches and players on a much improved team.

Fingers crossed on some slippage of some of our top recruits tomorrow.

Play sound defense and develop a couple more reliable arms and we should contend. Offense should continue to score runs. Top of the rotation and top of the bullpen guys are good too. Need some depth there though and need to stop giving away outs/runs with errors. (But I suppose every baseball team in the country says that.)

Yeah not to put down our kids but I hope they fall in their draft spots and show up to school! We got some quality kids

This season was a lot of fun after the last two seasons. The 6th inning will haunt me all summer, but Slade saved his best outing for the biggest game. May the draft be kind to us the next three days and our returning players get better this summer.

Will be looking to some of you to keep us updated on this.

Very solid year, a necessary year, despite how it ended. Going to be very excited for next season. Maybe slightly anxious about our pitching, but good overall about the team.

The only player you gotta worry about tomorrow is Lugo. Gotta hope he prices himself out of signing and that Arizona doesn’t take him. They have a couple of 1A comp picks and the highest allotment of draft cash to shell out.

2015: FIU (4 seed), Columbia (3 seed) and Virginia Commonwealth (4 seed)
2016: Stetson (4 seed), Long Beach State (3 seed) and Boston College (3 seed)

Nothing wrong with the selection system. **** happens.

Interesting take. You think McFarlane and Eskew are solid commits at their current draft projections? Any chance Veliz and/or McKendry return?

I agree we shouldn’t have been in this regional. It’s also unfair to MSU. They shouldn’t have had a team as strong as Miami in their region.

Proud of the fight we put up but unless you have absurdly deep pitching depth, you have to win the first 2 games of a regional.

Losing game 1 Friday put us in a tough hole, hard to win 2 games in a day.

We desperately need some pitching depth to arrive this fall. Not enough quality arms in the bullpen.
