That kid we got from Boston College is an animal. Straight up pulling a Vilma on Love from ND is impressive

If Wiley steps up and gives us that true sideline to sideline LB (think he will play some snaps at DE in this system) then we are cooking

Couple this with a better offense in 2026 due to Mensah, the Duke WR, toney returns and Moore, Upshaw, and freshman highly regarded WRs in 2026 class, we could be a NC contender again. The ND game on Nov 7 is the big one to win prior to the playoffs. Maybe we can still keep Lofton to come back at TE that would help.

I still say we are going to miss J Thomas physicality at Safety but Fitzgerald will be a ballhawk back there. Just not sure he has the physicality that Thomas had and that is what separates them especially in Hetherman's Defense. hopefully fitzgerald can continue to grow as a player.

3/4/8/0 is just a special group of football players. Not just talent but how they played and their leadership

2026 is going to be a lot of talent but it was stunning how quickly the defense came together with a new DC and so many new faces. Tough to figure how that’s gonna play out
