TOS Hurts Recruiting

While listening to a podcast from TOS about recruiting with Chad Thomas they did nothing to promote Miami. Miami has a world class music school with the most modern equipment, new facilities, great instructors and TOS had no idea. Miami's Music School has received almost $100 million in donations in the last 7 years and has great music industry connections for the students to advance their careers.

As for TOS their reporting of false rumors of Golden going to Penn State really hurt recruiting.

I think this website has done a great job and Peter's reports are terrific.

yea...we had no one from this site reporting Golden Going to PSU...it was a quiet week here....

Going 2 - 4 down the stretch while giving up 500 yards a game hurt recruiting.
It was made worse by Golden coming out and saying he would not change a darn thing on the defense.

Flirting with PSU did very little to hurt us with recruiting.

when did he say he would not change a darn thing on Defense?? Quotes or link....

I listened to that lat night and trust me Chad knows what Frosts Music School is all about. Are you seriously worried that we might lose him? Neither Bama or FSU can offer what we offer for him. He can walk in and get immediate playing time, plus one of the best programs for his major in the country. Not even a contest!

It's not there job to sell Thomas on the music school. Wud have made for an awkward interview when a reporter is selling a kid on a school. Think some people have been taking care of that.

I agree with you Gary went way over board on the Penn State deal keeping it alive long after it was dead and that didn't help Miami's recruiting at all and that's according to recruits (i.e. Valentine).

This site is the biggest threat to his service and kudos the owners (D'Money and perhaps others?) for doing a good job.

chad thomas was wearing a UM sweater quote "just to let yall know whats up" thats what chad said

When u write to generate traffic artificially then follow up with spam to resubscribe, you prostitute your journalistic credentials.

most "journalists" DONT care anymore.

Today, Ferman is writing that Chad is in "regular contact with FSU and Bama as well as Miami"

Say what you want about him, but he is a master at stirring the pot with information that no one can really say he didn't have after it is proven wrong.

Golden disappeared for a while, don't blame TOS. The flirtation with PSU was real.

I don't see a problem having multiple services... in fact I enjoy it. And no one is intentionally feeding incorrect information...sources are what sources are.. everyone gets it wrong every once in a while..that is the nature of college football and recruiting especially. Peter does a great job here. One of the best. But Gary doesn't "artificially generate traffic"..or I should say, no more than anyone else does if we are being honest. Sometimes on all these boards we just got to learn to eliminate the hate.
