Theres going to be some dumbass fans who say "he gone" because of this but all it shows is that the kid actually started to think. Even though he said he would do it on NSD anybody who actually thought about it knew it was by far the worst choice he can make and as much as he seemed to love the attention I dont think he's a 'diva" in that he wants to make himself the star on NSD instead of being a leader who backed it up by staying true to his commitment to his school. Now if I was worried about any school its Auburn because he JUST came off of his visit there.

He went to Auburn as well as LSU? I saw he visited LSU but I didn't know he went to Auburn as well.

Also, he says he's committing early. That doesn't mean he's doing it this week or next. He may still take this into the season after his OV's.
 
He just visited Oklahoma, LSU, and Auburn.

We need someone to take leadership of this class, but I think it's going to be Jaquan, not Gibson.

Urban is a beast. Al must recruit Gibson himself and not let him get away. We will see….

Why do we do this to ourselves every single year? How long have you guys been following recruiting? There's certain guys that every year early in the recruiting season I get a vibe from based on his interviews and absolutely know he's not coming. For me last year it was Ermon Lane. This year it's Gibson. He's not coming. The quicker we accept it, the less painful it is.

LSU was the other day but if you see his twitter he has many tweets about Auburn during his visit but I will say that there was free wi-fi so idk if that means anything but he really seemed to have a good time and that committing early tweet just happened so I would think Auburn had an impact on him. Now you may be right and im not saying he's doing it now but the NSD announcement is way different then even a December announcement and can make/break a class wherever he goes because of how big time he is

um..... heres the thing, some grown men wont be crying and sulking over a HS kids announcement of going to their school or not when other studs can come also. It may "hurt" you or others but if Gibson doesnt come it will suck but I wont be in bed crying with a teddy bear wrapped in my arms, ill be fine and moving tf on

I'm probably the most non-neg Canes fan on this board and I'm just being honest...he's not coming here. We don't fit his style of play. It's between Auburn and OSU only; plain and simple. We should really start focusing on the guys we actually have a shot on and no more threads on cats that truly don't have interest in us. So Fla kids always list UM in their top 5-6 b/c we are the school of So. Fla, but the fact remains that not all of them (hardly any of them lately) will commit to us. Our scheme doesn't fit his skill set.

He's already said that Coley and basically every coach has said that they'll change the style to fit the qb. Terrell Pryor went to OSU when Tressell was there and he didnt run a spread. **** if it was all about the system then why hasnt he considered Oregon this whole time?

Corley has already told him he builds his offense around the skill set of his QB.

Do we recruit only pro set QBs, or do we recruit pro set and dual threat QBs?
