It's called good recruiting. OSU's QB situation is really no different than ours when you look at it. Kayaa is here for at least another 2-3 years. Osu, otoh, has a strong qb in place for another year or 2.

Theirs is A LOT different...they could start 12 gauge next yr have Barrett RS ...12 gauge goes pro Barrett comes back to be the starter in 2016 as a redshirt Sophmore and plays 3 more yrs...Torrance could be on the bench there for the next 4yrs possibly...here is is on the bench for 2 or 3 at the most so w/ a redshirt year is a 2-3 year starter potentially.

except jacoby can actually throw, but as you can see in urbans system you dont have to be a great QB to win, but i wouldnt put it past urban to ask him to switch when he gets on campus

Barrett is playing next year - they need a backup QB and he's gonna play in 2015. He fractured his ankle so it's a question whether or not he'll have the same mobility next year. Meyer can sell this easily to Gibson. At the very best for OSU, Barrett will be there in 2016 with an outside chance of 2017 as well. Again, same spot as we're in with Kayaa, except Kayaa is the shoe-in starter for the foreseeable future whereas OSU has a big question mark in 2016.

I meant in terms of a reckless commitment to a school that will bury him as a QB and will force his transfer.

Auburn likely was the better choice...it doesnt matter though as neither offense prepares guys for the nfl...but Gibson looks to be a better fit in AUB
