We'll see. I'd imagine that some of the other sports like baseball and basketball will have a clearer picture in terms of evaluation. It's clear as day that Coach L is past his prime and needs to retire; with DiMare as coach, that needs to get scrapped immediately. But identifying good candidates in sports that aren't football would likely be more difficult. It would have to be a perfect synergy between Zo and Gino for this thing to work...and even then, there will be learning lessons along the way.

I don’t get the Zo experience thing, maybe in regards to running football but in terms of administering an athletic department id take Gino’s business acumen and relationships inside college football. I live in Ohio, deal with the Browns and that Browns front office was a disaster. Only reason he came in the first place was a sweetheart deal from Wolf

Back in the old days, I would routinely go to away games where the rival fans were unleashing horrible smack talk about our Athletic Director...things like "Hey, your Athletic Director is uglier than Hazel" and "Hazel really puts your Athletic Director to shame"...

Yeah, about 5 minutes after the AD is hired, "the rest of CFB" isn't going to care who our AD is.

Agreed! I think if either Gino or Zo are hired in any capacity, Manny is donezo. But, of course, he's already donezo anyway. But yeah, I don't know what AD hire would be someone who would bring back Manny, but neither Gino nor Zo would bring back Manny.

I mean really, I can't think of anyone who valued their job security would bring back Manny.

Literally, if we missed out on all of our top candidates and had to go with a lower candidate, I would still get rid of Manny and then bring in that lower level HC on a super short leash. Might even have a designated "Temporary HC" from the existing staff.
