But he was the President of the UM alumni association and he was obviously very well liked and had respect amongst everyone with any association to the university

No people won't be happy. But then they had their one guy in mind and half of them are threatening to "find a new team" if that guy isn't the AD which is obvious horse****. I have no idea if Gino can do the job but he has zero experience so it seems like a reach. Also Larry the amigo does local radio but I'm not exactly taking this news as gospel.
