Now that Calvin Johnson has retired the Detroit Lions, the debate is on regarding which former ACC wide receiver is the best pass-catcher in the NFL.

The ACC Digital Network took on the task and named their top six wideouts in the NFL from ACC schools.

There are two from Miami, two from Clemson and one apiece from Florida State and Georgia Tech.

You can see the highlights in the video above, but here is the list of their six receivers in order:

Top ACC wide receivers in the NFL (per the ACC Digital Network)

1. De'Andre Hopkins, Clemson (Houston Texans)

2. Demaryius Thomas, Georgia Tech (Denver Broncos)

3. Sammy Watkins, Clemson (Buffalo Bills)

4. Allen Hurns, Miami (Jacksonville Jaguards)

5. Kelvin Benjamin, Florida State (Carolina Panthers)

6. Travis Benjamin, Miami (San Diego Chargers)

Do you guys agree?

Defined how? If the question is the "best pass catcher" from that group, it is Hopkins, Watkins, and then maybe Hurns. Thomas and K. Benjamin are not very good catchers and T. Benjamin is good, but no better than that.

Best overall combination of wide receiver skills (catching, route running, separation, general craft) and ability (size, strength, speed)? Hopkins, Watkins, and then Thomas. Thomas is the best athlete of the group, and the biggest mismatch, but he drops a lot of balls.

I still can't believe freakin' Georgia Tech had Johnson and Thomas on the roster AT THE SAME TIME.

4 out of 6 from Florida & that's not including Antonio Brown, Brandon Marshall, TY Hilton, John Brown, Pierre Garçon, Andre Johnson, Kamar Aiken, Phillip Dorsett, Kenbrell Thompkins & a bunch others.
All these guys are not from the ACC, just pointing out the obvious that FLA has he best football talent on Earth.

Johnson was drafted in '07...Demaryius signed in '07. They weren't on the team together.

Correction. Thomas redshirt in '06. Wasn't aware

Not sure how Larry Fitzgerald was left off that list, but that is a major oversight. I know he's old, but I'd take him on my team over most of those guys.

Hurns is improving more and more in the NFL. Wouldn't surprised me if he leap frogs Watkins this upcoming season. Pretty impressive for someone who went undrafted.

Martavis Bryant would be #1 if he could quit smoking

Haha. My thoughts exactly. I blame Legarrette Blount for corrupting both him and LeVeon Bell. Was probably a plot by the Patriots. Goodell should investigate.
