fans generally want some insight to the coaches thoughts and it’s a good opportunity for that also gives quotable moments. It’s pretty good for tv, and doesn’t take up that much time. I’d rather have it than not

Pregame, post game, articles, podcasts, etc I very rarely watch, read, or listen to. It's the same thing, just a difderent coach at a different institution. They say the same thing that any knowledgeable fan can pick up on.
