Took him longer than we liked, but Mario does have the makings of a good staff for 2023.

With Beard and JT filling the last major spots on the team, I feel good about the team going forward. We should be looking at 8 wins and possibly more with some lucky bounces for 2023. If these new guys work out and stay put, 2023 could be a really positive year like 1999 and 2024 could maybe get closer to resembling 2000.

After last year I think all we can do is reserve judgment.

I do find it funny though that if THIS staff had been assembled last year that there would've absolutely been a narrative around here (and used against us nationally) that Miami isn't ready or able to spend money on this front to keep up with the big boys

Soooo....in a Gatorade cooler full of 2022 p!ss, we can at least make a small cup of lemonade and take comfort in a) that isn't the case, b) nobody is really trying to say it against us this year, and c) we see that method can absolutely fail- especially when Mario's "process" is involved
 
Pretty **** happy with Mario's picks overall outside of Beard. However, the best news by far is that he's absolutely shown a willingness to change which i had my doubts on. The DC seems legit, probably could've had better OCs but Dawson seems solid and runs an exciting style.

Not going to freakout either way but hopefully this helps with recruiting and actually winning. If Mario is able to recruit with some positive momentum and a fun style of football, watchout.
 
Liking the composition of this staff better than last year for sure. Good mix of recruiting chops and teachers out there. Some young hungry guys and some vets that have been around a bit. Most excited for the offensive scheme change. If we can even muster average, that will bring us up to around 28-29 points per game. that number would have won us two more games last year alone. Not to mention, I am expecting a more exciting and fundamentally sound defense this year.

Give me 7-8 wins with a marked improvement on offense and (dare I say) a bowl win and we'll be in great shape heading into year 3 of Mario.

Said same **** last year.. now after being blown out by lower level team we hope to get all star power 5 corches to change our fortune.. We definitely in offseason..

No matter what this post woulda been made, if he hired john madden, Either fools done OD'd on the koolaid dmoney done sold these boys, laced that **** with fent or this is AI chatbox meant to keep the post up in offseason cuz aint no ****** way dawg..

Because it would take Mario another 3 months to hire a replacement, Spring ball is starting.
 
We will win 9 games. I think it’s possible that we upset the Shoe Thieves at the Doak. TVD has a banner game for his Pro Day tape. Just a hunch. We beat everyone we’re supposed to beat, but lose a game or two to the Tobacco Road crowd. Clemson won’t run train on us, but Dabo will still show Mario that he’s still a couple of classes out from taking him on for the Championship. We lose by 10-14 at home, but we make it a game. We will show marked improvement now that the malingerers and the deadwood are being cleared out. We’re still going to get penalized for relying so much on freshmen for talent, no matter how good they are. But the team will begin to gel. I’m with others who say that Mario has to show that he’s had his 1997 moment and he fired who he needed to fire. Now can he produce on the field and have his 1999 team?
 
Interesting change from year to year… a bunch of name brand hires that filled the headlines of ESPN to this year hiring a bunch of “up and comers” who all are essentially taking that next big step in their careers

Mario has a staff that Randy, Golden, Richt, Manny all could have achieved as well. Color me uninspired but hopeful.

lol if this was the staff we put together last year, **** If MANNY put this staff together, people would talk about the lack of a coaching network. its funny how hindsight and also reputation factor into whether we think the staff is good or not. idc who the names are as long as we produce on the field.
