Tony Rojas- Miami tampering

by pff grade looks like top graded LB options from lower schools would be:

- Owen Chambliss, SDSU. 6'3" 230lbs. 85.6 cov grade, 84.0 runD grade. 83 tackles. 56 stops. 7.9 miss%. 14 pressures.
- Ethan Wesloski, north texas. 6'1" 234lbs. 91.5 cov grade, 88.8 runD grade. 75 tackles. 48 stops. 9.6 miss%. 15 pressures.
- Colton Phares, AppSt. 6'2" 225lbs. 86.1 cov grade, 85.7 runD grade. 60 tackles. 38 stops. 10.3 miss%. 12 pressures.
- Ray Coney, Tulsa. 6'2" 240lbs. 71.0 cov grade, 85.6 runD grade. 97 tackles. 59 stops. 7.3 miss%. 22 pressures.
- Noah Flemmings, ULM. 6'4" 240lbs. 65.1 cov grade, 85.1 runD grade. 61 tackles. 45 stops. 4.7 Miss%. 8 pressures.
- Michael Montgomery, SoMiss. 6'4" 250lbs. 73.2 cov grade, 80.8 RunD grade. 47 tackles. 26 stops. 8.3 Miss%. 4 pressures.

For perspective this is our starting LB :
Toure: 6'2" 35.8 cov grade, 66.3 runD grade. 49 tackles, 26 stops, 16.7 miss%. 10 pressures
Wes: 6'1" 62.8 cov grade, 67.4 runD grade. 35 tackles, 25 stops, 20.3 miss%. 3 pressures.
Popo: 6'2" 49.4 cov grade, 90.6 runD grade, 22 tackles, 14 stops, 11.4 miss%. 2 pressures.
This stuff is nonsense.

Maybe total tackles is. But the miss tackle rate isn’t imo. Our Lbs have been dog**** at tackling and it’s reflected in the stats
Get your point, but assume & hope coaches evaluate on more than statistical data. Always curious has to who is behind the analysis & spitting out the numbers. Some of the post-game are often questionable. Do they know assignments, play calls, etc? Does an LBs’ profile from Richmond, say, reflect potential performance at a higher level vs better athletes? Just me, but leery of accepting numbers/stats as a tell all. Also trust our coaches.

Typically they look at traits 1 and individual film vs FBS teams 2.
