Tomorrow is “One Day, One U” Day

The University’s biggest day for trying to solicit donations from the community and alums. I told the rep who called me that I won’t give another dollar to them until they show that they care about the entity that rocketed the school to national recognition- the football team.

I cancelled my season tickets already when they brought Manny back. I stopped donating altogether after they kept him following the FIU loss.

I suggest that all my fellow alums and anyone who donated to the program does the same. They have proven that they won’t change unless we beat them over the head repeatedly. Hit them in the wallet.

If this year’s day of giving is a big enough disaster, that will do more to facilitate change than anything else we can do. It should be called “One Day, ***** U” given how little they give a crap.
