With our lack of depth on the line, how TF did we let this kid go to Ole Miss and be their DAY 1 STARTER?! Saw this dude throwing ninjahs out the club out there! Dude looked big, strong, fast and athletic out there and he got banged up and left the game, and you could see the void. Why did we let him walk?! McCoy should be at guard and this dude at tackle. Anyone know what happened here? I still count him as a hit from that class though

It is a two way street. Maybe Ole Miss gave more NIL money, and with what we’ve got allocated on the OL, not surprising if we didn’t match.

Did you listen to the broadcast game? They talked about it specifically for about 5 minutes.

Kinsler IV is 1a at his position for Ole Miss, a team with a garbage offensive line generally (Kiffin schemed around that as a weakness, I think they were graded 76th best in the nation last year before we played them).

Kinsler has "great technique generally" but couldnt be trusted on because he's ******* out of shape.

His conditioning is/was straight ***.

To summarize, he cant even hold down a firm slot on a garbage line despite having good technique because he's so out of shape.

I'd be willing to speculate that to Cristobal et al, that that's a matter of commitment or lack thereof.

I'd call that good coaching and physical limitations that the staff was willing to move on from.

Or at least, a line in the sand re: upping a player's NIL.

We definitely have a hole of a veteran on oline.. Even if not him, we should of bought someone in who has already banked reps that could either hold down the LG spot or allowed one of our guys to slide in

Facts. That's where the depth we've been accumulating separates us. If a kid as naturally gifted as Kinsler isn't willing to put in the work, we cut him loose. Seantrel, Flowers, Donaldson are a few guys off the top of my head that would have benefited from more competition and should have been put on notice.

So it’s because he was consistently out of shape here.., got it. He didn’t look out of shape or sloppy out there for OM. So us letting him walk may have been a learning experience for him.

He barely won the starting role, they are concerned he isn’t in game shape/condition, he got hurt in their first game
Having a lower leg injury when getting rolled up on has nothing to do with being out of shape. He didn’t look sloppy or fat out there though

You are speaking with complete confidence that our o line this year will be better than Ole Miss? I’m not saying you’re wrong but I also am not ready to say that our o line is better than “their garbage line”

I gotta think any OL worth keeping Mario ain’t letting just leave.
Of course not! But he’s now starting for an SEC team that made the playoffs last year, so that’s what made me wonder what the problem was here, because the kid has all the tools (physically) to be great. But as we know now from those in the know, the kid was out of shape and then had the nerve to ask for more bread!
