Tom Herman to FAU

[Go Canes!!]

A long, long way from Texas.

[SayWhat]

That's a head scratcher. I can't help but feel he'd be better taking an OC job or virtually anywhere else.

[Dyalect79]

I wonder if he’ll give my nephew a fair shot, I’m hoping. We haven’t spoken since Taggart was fired, I texted him and no response but he may just be super busy with the changes.

Maybe, but Kiffin spent three years at FAU to resurrect his career. Worked out.

Some guys just want to be the top dog. He probably just wants to prove that he can be a HC

Great hire for them.

Weird for him.

[The U is back to work]

Wtf lol what a hire for them

[RemainMack is back]

He was good at Texas. Not phenomenal but good and has been a great OC with now some idea gathering from the NFL. I would be shocked if he couldn't get a better job than this.

Edited because I forgot about two very good years as HC at Houston.

What a steal for FAU.

[zx7oppa]

Sooooooo No Manny... LOL

I'm not sure his stop there did anything for him. I guess it showed he could stay on the straight and narrow, but that's about it. He did post their best records ever though.

Herman's background as a HC prior to FAU blows away Kiffin's background as a shady HC prior to FAU.

[Home Slice]

Good hire. Plenty of talented kids in the area for crootin.

[nobeastofburden]

I would like to rescind my statement that Manny could do better than FAU. FAU just said *&^% you, we can do better than Manny. I'm more shocked from this than Hunter picking Jax St.

[jakeman1]

Good place to learn how to be a head coach. He knows how to be an OC.

Kiffin? He needed to prove he could run a program. Fired from USC, rehab as OC for Saban.

[Keyman009]

Nice, FAU hires a decent OC/HC and here we sit with a michigan reject who in his first year calling plays took a big duece on our bed!!!

[L A M P]

I get Boca but man Tampa is aight too. USF would have been the job to take IMO.

[canadianhurricane]

Good hire.

I don't think he stays there long.

54-22 and needs to learn how to be HC??
