The “What if I told You” stats:

Krenzel was their leading rusher.
Ohio State averaged less than 3 yards per rush (Clarett 2 ypc) and 4 yards per play.
Krenzel completed 7 passes with 2 INTS.

Another note:
OSU just completed a 10-play 25 yard drive for the tying TD in OT, with all the emotional stuff that went on.
Then I realized…oh shet, we have to go back out on D again.
Add to that Dorsey had 3 turnovers. He was pretty bad that game.

Plus:

Sean Taylor was stripped of the ball after a long INT return out of the Miami end zone. OSU regained momentum, kicked a FG.

Roscoe fumbled inside the OSU 10 with around 4 minutes left, down 17-14. IIRC.

Canes don’t play gap control and allow Krenzel to step up in the pocket and complete a 20-yard pass on 4th-18, their first OT possession. IIRC, Jerome McDougle took the blame, saying he didn’t play his assignment.

The Canes and their vaulted OL couldn’t punch in the tying TD in OT, four tries from the OSU 1. One pass was a walk-in TD Eric Winston dropped. Pass was a little behind him, but Winston still should have caught it.

Bosher was way better, Badgley was better, Borregales was better. Honestly, Peattie was about the same too.

I disagree he just made so many and in clutch moments. At Tennessee on homecoming? 4 FGs no problem. He had some misses but he always came through on the biggest stages. 40-50yd fg? I never had much fear to see him out there and rarely was disappointed.

Maybe Borregales.

Pattie was great as a freshman but he went down hill and settled in a nice corner of mediocrity.

Bagley is maybe more talented and certainly a better pro but none of his coaches could trust him to hit normal 40 yarders. He had a game winner or two and some good moments. So many games where he missed multiple field goals that turned out to be close loses.

I like Bosher a lot and it's hard for me to say anything negative about him.

Not a kicker but Pat O’Donnell was a **** freak back there too but we only had him 1 year IIRC
He was. I'm not sure if he's my favorite punter, maybe. We've had some kickers but we really had some good punters the last free decades.

Capshaw is the only one with a TD as far as I could remember.

Too many conversions on 3rd & 4th and long when they needed it I remember. But it’s been 20 years and well now it’s fuzzy and I got over it long ago
