Not what he said. He had him at 2nd round last year and the NFL said "return to school" which is 3rd round or worse. He said he has him at a 3rd round this year and based on his review said Saban was right about last year. Big difference.

Didn't see the interview. No way Saban will publicly do that to a kid - would go totally against his recruiting pitch of getting 4/5 star kids to the 1st round of the NFL draft.

Saban did say Leatherwood was rated too high to McShay, but McShay didn't change his evaluation last year after Saban talked to him.
