The 2019 LSU defense was trash tbh.
They gave up 38 to Texas
38 to frickin’ Vandy
28 to UF
41 to Bama
37 to Ole Miss
The most points Miami surrendered in a game was 27 and they still won that game By over three touchdowns.
I understand that the modern game is more high scoring but that makes Miami’s 42+ points per game even more impressive. The Hurricanes weren’t playing in a no huddle, spread offense. They played in a run oriented pro offense that would usually stop throwing the ball once they got a big lead.
The ONLY positional advantages LSU has is WR and QB. Even then, I’m curious what kind of numbers Miami’s passing game would have put up in a no huddle shotgun offense.
