Time to ramp up the anti-Strong Campaign

Ok see here's the problem. The admin sees the BBB thing as a clown show. They don't take it seriously. In fact, I'd wager that part of WHY strong is favored is bc of the BBB crowd. They can sell you fools on "defense" "recruiting" "understands miami".

A BBB banner does more to get Strong hired than it does to BBB.
 
So I'm clearly worked up by the rumors of Strong. And while you can never actually convince someone their views are wrong regarding whether or not Charlie is a "good" coach, you can pit him in a death battle against the other options. So I challenge the 15% of you who want Strong as the next coach to present cogent arguments, not to whether Strong is good, but how he's a better coach than the following other candidates:

Strong v Butch Davis
Strong v Chuck Pagano
Strong v Tom Herman
Strong v Mike Gundy
Strong v Mark Richt
Strong v Dan Mullen

If you can coherently argue that Charlie Strong is a better football coach than ALL of the above, then you have a legit reason to want him as the next coach.

It's easy to justify any coach as "good". Don't believe me? Look at how we all acted towards Golden when he was hired.
 
Come on now, I see you guys out there. I'll refer to you as "the 15%"......go ahead and pit Strong against the other options and explain to me how he's better than them all.

I would be fine with any of them. I don't think Strong, head to head, is as good as any of them. I only listed guys who I think actually deserve a job like Miami. So when selecting a new coach, it makes no sense to me to hire a guy who can't stand up to any of the other candidates.
 
The only one on that list I would pick Strong over is Pagano.

Like I've said, Strong is not my first choice. But you guys are acting like he's gonna go 7-5 every year here. You're looking at 9-10 wins minimum. Do I think he can win a title? It would really depend on his OC and QB. We would need an OC like Holgorsen who could mask Strong's offensive deficiencies. He's not a great, elite HC but he's certainly not awful.

Why are we looking at 9-10 wins minimum?

Without a 1st round Qb he has never won more then 7 games. At a power 5 conference school he is 10-13.
 
You are missing the main one.

That is who your final two will be know how incompetent the AD is.

how about we let the search committee do their ******* job. why do people think the administration should give two ***** about what or who the fans want?

People complain saying the admin shouldn't listen to ex players but think they should listen to who the fans want as the coach is just crazy lol
 
Broke loves him. That should tell you guys just how important it is to mobilize against Charlie Wrong.

Foh, he's a good coach for Miami as far as what we need to fix and how we need to recruit. If we don't get Herman or Butch he is my number 3 choice
 
This is not a good idea....at alll. Disagree all we want but no bamners. You willl turn off alot of the other coaches. Everyone knows El Foldo sucks......but i guy who havent even been here. Just no
