Time To Look In The Mirror, Mario

Are you sure instructing him to look in the mirror is a good idea?

I had hope that after seeing last years offense and the explosiveness it gave us would have brought Mario to the light. But instead, he saw Cam Ward audible out of their ****** calls and lead us to the number 1 offense in the country and said….. nah let’s keep bro balling and being tough and physical. I’ve lost hope that Mario will ever make the needed changes it will take to get us over the hump.

MFers beat their chest continually about how this is Miami and we are this and that and how the whole CFB world is scared of us. Yet when we got taken behind the woodshed at home against MTSU these same guys started making excuses, talking about patience and telling everyone who saw the obvious that they were just miserable mopes.

Now they want to pretend like all these things that happened in Dallas weren’t on full display in 22 and after. The penalty and discipline issues were deficiencies back when he was at Oregon but people would talk down when you questioned this made up imagine of Mario being a perfectionist and disciplined minded coach.
I actually believe most fans were patient with him.

They wanted to give him a full four years, with his system, coordinators and players.

The only issue is that this year was the year that he was supposed to take a leap. When we beat Notre Dams there was no excuse to not go 12-0 or 11-1 outside of major injuries.

Instead we are losing to Louisville and a broken SMU team.

I love how he goes about his business I really do but you have to dial back the machismo a little when you have nothing but being saban’s ex girlfriend to flaunt. You are an average coach with average results. You do have elite traits however. Now go change and stop the fake tough **** before it’s too late. Adapt.

The only way Mario MIGHT wake up is if someone like JJ or maybe Saban who he respects sits his big behind down and reads him the riot act telling him he’s never going to succeed the way he’s presently doing things.

It’s got to be someone he knows that if they tell him something he MIGHT listen.Other than that we are stuck with Mario the caveman and we might as well accept him as he is or find another team to root for cause he’s not changing.

Saban said on the Pre-game show he’s rooting for Mario so Maybe he will take the time after watching him ***** the pooch trying to play 1950 football and give him a call and let him know that he himself finally adapted to the new offenses and if is ever going to succeed to the highest level and compete for NC on a yearly basis he might want to do the same.

Other than that we as Cane fans are screwed cause he’s not changing without something like that happening and even if Saban or JJ took the time to reach out with help I’m still not sure his hard head would listen.

I still think the by far best hope is to just get a superstar QB in portal that even Mario wouldn’t get conservative with - like Cam. A guy who has an aggressive baller mentality and demands the ball in his hands. If we do that then it’s all about Hetherman keeping the defense up and Mario making sure the talent throughout the roster is there.

Everyone wants to be at the head of the table after this loss, talking about how this is the turning point for them as fans and suddenly, points they were downvoting or laughing at are now being used as ammo.

The real ones know where a lot of y’all stood as recently as last week vs. Stanford.

Anyone that’s been lying for this guy and making excuses for him for the past 2+ years is as cancerous to the program as Mario himself. Prominent (or so they think they are) posters everywhere, apologizing for and idolizing this man. State media that will only get access if they post content approved by him, posters scared to share real information because of the consequences..

Like what are we doing here guys?
This is what some have been doing all day...

The decision to kneel with 30 seconds left and one timeout — when only 40 yards separated Miami from a game-winning field goal — encapsulates the entire Cristobal experience at Miami.

That’s a QB issue… Cam Ward and Mendoza is pushing the ball downfield 40, 50+ yards out in that same scenario. The coaches see Becks arm limitations combined with the reality they cant trust him to lead and not throw an interception at the worst time of the game.

As far as Manny Dia and Duke.. they are a good team against a weak conference schedule. Clemson is trash this year they lucked up on that. If they had to play Miami, Louisville, SMU, and Pitt maybe even FSU.. thats likely 5 ACC losses.

That said I agree Mario needs to evolve his identity as a HC and get away from the “caveman” at all times running philosophy.

He needs to completely change his mindset on how his team should come out playing. We play tight and not to lose.
He needs to instill more trust and allow the team play with an edge. Go take the souls of the your opponent by playing fast and scoring points. Then you can impose your will with your Oline. Make teams prepare for an onslaught of guys who know they are going to be involved. Run more tempo and get these kids excited to go execute the offense.
The game was mostly a snooze fest and no excitement by the players. The D has guys psyched up notable Jakobe.
He should have a talk with Beck and tell him he’s gotta rally this team and it’s his team and ask him what he would prefer to do to get him to lead having fun. His body language has been off and he sulks when things don’t go right.
