Time to cross Cook off the list...Permanently

I'm a big Yearby fan, but Cook is on another level. You guys are kidding yourselves if you think Yearby is a better prospect.

Seems to me they are different types of prospects. Cook is a home run threat speedster, but Yearby is the kind of true RB that can CONSISTENTLY get you yardage and grind it out through a whole game, even though he may not have that home run speed.

What some are saying is that Cook relies on pure speed, which isnt going to give him as much of an advantage at the next level, when he's playing against guys with a lot of speed too, whereas Yearby has vision and cutback ability that will help him be productive in gaining yardage for an offense.

Granted Cook can still develop those skills at the next level.

Dude just stop. Y'all keep trying to make this 'better pure back' argument yet Cook had more yards, a higher ypc, and more TD's than Yearby last year despite less carries and playing both ways plus returning punts and kicks. How does that happen if Yearby is the better 'pure' back? LOL@ the folks saying he's the 'backup' running back. The only reason he gets less carries than Yearby is because he plays everything short of d-line and o-line. They had dude lined up at corner the other week defending Lane, he's played safety in other games too. He has less carries simply because he's used all over the place because he's that good.

Some of y'all need to take the orange and green glasses off. Yearby is no slouch and he's a top 10 back in the country easily. But no need to downplay Cook to big up Yearby. And I still don't think Cook will end up at UF. Oh well, kid will be a stud wherever he goes.

How's kelvin Taylor looking?

Good. Already UF's best offensive player (not saying much) but the moron coaches won't give him the ball for whatever reason even though he averaged over 5 ypc against LSU and over 6 ypc against Mizzou SMH.

I would be absolutely shocked if Cook ends up at UF.

Not saying he's a lock here by any means....but that kid's recruitment is just getting started. He'll be a signing day, hat flipping, "look at me" announcement.

Cook looks much faster

Yearby looks shiftier and looks to be a better pass catcher

I want them bof

fsu is pencilling him into their class along with the cb from bama humphrey, the wr dupree from louisiana, prince at ot, and the ot from jax..

Right now everything is rolling for them, but NSD is a long ways away........

why the **** would you ever want to cross a talent like cook off the list before signing day when he lives half an hour away and has a brother playing basketball there

Yeah Cook is not coming.

After his visit to FSU still said he is 100% gator and final visit will probably to Ohio State.

Cook is a great back ..BUT.......... Miami has a GREAT STABLE OF BACKS........This guy is hot then cold and he loves the attention he gets, stop talking about him on our threads. We can't get em all but we sure can make him wish he had stayed home.....IN GOLDEN WE TRUST.
