Tim "Ice" Harris staying on staff?? looks like it....

I'm hearing Mark Richt and Tim "Ice" Harris are in Orlando for 4A state championship between Booker T and Raines.

3:56 PM - 5 Dec 2015 from*Orlando, FL



*Looks like Ice will still be on staff, which is a good thing...will most likely keep the Booker T/Central/Northwestern/Norland area

I really hope that is the one and only coach he keeps from this staff. I want them all gone but with Ice I could rationalize because there could be some blow-back from Dade high schools if he fired him.
 
Calm down. He could just be showing Richt around. I mean Ice is currently an employee of the university and has duties to coach/recruit.

I think Beard has deserved a place - the receivers have noticeably improved under him.
 
Ice is going to be employed by the school until after the bowl game, at the time being they work for the same school. I doubt many will be retained

It probably a good way for Mark to get to know Ice. Kind of like a casual interview. Let's see if Ice can impress him.
 
Baez and beard. The rest is up to the coach but nobody on defense should be back and sorry ol coach is a must too
 
The Miami coach was at the Florida state championship football game.

A father attended the state championship game for the team his son coaches, where he also once coached.

My biggest question mark is why ice isn't in Atlanta.
 
Means nothing.

These guys are getting a paycheck and need to keep working.
 
Hopefully Mark, a Cane and local grown, will not need so many "recruiters" that Al did to make up for the fact that he was lost as to how to recruit our kids. Mark took Sonny from him. I want coaches not just recruiters.

RB Coach is a recruiting spot. Ice doesn't hurt you there.

There's a place for one, MAYBE two, recruiters on staff. The rest need to be legit coaches.
 
Ice is a great high school coach but i don't see what his value is. I may be wrong but i don't think he is a good recruiter.
 
We have no spots to wast IMO, once you get the program rolling like Saban or Jimbo you can take a shot like that. Not when you are building
However if some of the coach's on the current staff are equally good coach's its up to Richt
 
Ice will provide some value to Richt, at least initially. I'm sure that Richt knows a lot of the SFl landscape, but Ice has lived it for a long time. I'm sure he knows everyone and everything about SFlorida. Richt isn't dumb, he knows this.
