DJ Shipley was on the PBD podcast and was asked if there was ever a mission where he thought ww3 was about to start. He said there was one where he thought for sure it was gonna be ww3. He said they were kitted up and ready to go airborne and the president himself called it off.

I know he got out in 2019 so idk if he was part of this mission.
But this is about as close as you can get imo.
It just goes to show how much these units do that are right there at the edge.

It could've been this mission, or the one that went haywire in North Africa.
