The problem with this is that Bama never had the most money to spend. Its that they were allowed to give out illegal benefits and money while the ncaa looked the other way and made sure other teams didn't do it. Now that they no longer have the ncaa to gate keep for them, Saban got out dodge right away.

Good point, but they still have an awful lot of 5 star recruits, possibly more than anyone else. Which means they are paying the kids.

They had the most money to spend when the NCAA was protecting them and making sure no one else besides Georgia, Ohio State, and them were paying players. I'm sure they had a 2-3 mil+ "NIL collective" every year prior to it being legal.

Then, once it became legal and they needed 15 mil+ their redneck fanbase and boosters started crying that it was unfair that teams could "just pay players" instead of doing the old fashioned McDonalds bags.

Bama keeps losing games and recruits will stop taking discounts to play there. I’m sure the negative recruiting is high about how little nickie isn’t there
 
Hes going to use the old switch to a freshman QB after a few bad losses to create hope for next season to try and save his job, but not sure that works at bama. They think they are beyond losing at all

And Bama will just pay more at that point. They are never going to have a money problem. We just need to hope they miss on the evals and are more like Texas A&M

Compare what they have to what they were getting and it’s quite a drop.

But hey if people want to think the team that’s losing to Vandy and FSU are getting the same talent they used to get, go for it.
