It might be better to rotate Jaquan Johnson at nickel when Trajan Bandy needs a break or if God forbid gets hurt, instead of Derrick Smith.

We got Smith, Carter, Hall, and Frierson one of these guys (or more) should be able to hold down the safety spot along side Redwine during those types of situations.

Hall can play nickel. Keep jaquan at safety and have hall backup bandy at nickel. Smith isnt a corner and doesn't need to play it next year.

How heavy is garvin these days? Would like to see him push 255-260 by August...

That would be too much too quickly. He may eventually be that weight in 3-4 years, but I don't think gaining 25-30 lbs in one year would benefit him.

I wasn’t quite sure where he was at during the season but I thought he was around 230-240. If he was 235, let’s say, I’d love for him to be close to 250 by August.

Probably on 3rd down djack slides to tackle with Willis and have Garvin and Jackson off the edge

man i think everyone is trippin if they seriously believe garvin and joe jackson aren't going to be lining up opposite of eachother. as if joe jackson can't possibly play SDE. dude was ****ing 6'5" 250lbs as a true sophomore. you don't think he's gunna put on another 10lbs? Come on. We're putting our 2 most talented DEs on the field as much as possible. Garvin and Joe are going to get hella pt together including on non passing downs.

2017 snaps (1986 total):
Joe Jackson - 580
Chad Thomas - 550
Trent Harris - 455
DJax - 213
Garvin - 165
DJ Johnson - 23

We are losing 1028 snaps, or 51% of all our snaps.
Next year it will look something like:
Joe Jackson - 650
Jon Garvin - 500
DJax - 500
Scott Patchan - 150
Rousseau - 150

No way JJ goes 650.. or Djax with 500 not with his injury history. I see more of the lower guys at 200 snaps then.

If the staff doesn't move Pat Bethel back to SDE, I would start Jonathan Garvin at SDE opposite Joe Jackson.

Don't sleep on Pat Bethel... He will be our new Trent Harris... meaning being at the right place at the right time ... minimal mental errors, and he is getting bigger and stronger every day

boy that's not good for Kosi, has he gained ANY weight since he's been here ? You can tell Richt is not gonna get caught in the situation he has been in with the quarterbacks again, striving to get back to QBU, i know he was one frustrated **** this year

Bethel = 300 snaps (he will split snaps between SSDE and 3tech, primary backup for D Jackson at SSDE)
Patchan = 100 snaps
