Throwback post clemson vs Miami

Miami is not on Clemson level, why are you expecting perfection if they don’t even have that?

Once again the guys point was it was a flukish season, it was

We beat 1 good team the whole season and luckily beat 3 other average to below teams by the skin of our teeth

If you're struggling to beat multiple ****bag teams then you are not a good team, in no way shape or form were we a Top 5 team like the rankings suggested and the last 3 games proved it

Last 3 games proved it when we lost plenty of weapons at the stature of richards and herndon etc? You are what your record say you are and Miami was up to #2 in the last week of the season. Va tech was a good team that year, Notre dame was an elite team at that point of the season

VT went 9-4 that season, they were an average team who had ZERO good wins

Yes ND was good but everything came together that game, the crowd made the ND players **** their pants, and Manny called one of his best games ever as a DC at Miami

True..

but a year earlier they beat us at home in OT I think ,we were top 10 on the way to ACC ship.. point being Clemson had started building that rep up.

Clemson took down Miami in 2009—40-37 in OT; a game the Canes absolutely gave away.

10-7 lead just before half and Miami let's C.J. Spiller return a kickoff 90 yards to be down 14-10 at the half.

Canes leading 27-24 early fourth and they pick-sixed Jacory Harris; DeAndre McDaniel going 77 yards the other way.

Harris bounced back with a 69-yard touchdown pass to Travis Benjamin, but Miami gave up a last second regulation field goal to force overtime.

Canes got the ball, settled for three and Clemson pulled some trickery out for a game-winning touchdown. Can't recall the play but it was something they hadn't tried all year, ran in practice, players lobbied coaches to let them try and it worked. Typical heartbreak ****.

Strangely, the first three regular season meetings between Miami and Clemson in ACC play ended in overtime.

Clemson in Miami in 2005, Miami at Clemson in 2005 and Clemson at Miami in 2009.

From there, smacked them in 2010 and they returned the favor in 2017 in the ACC title game.

We won this game in 2010 because Clemson had 6 turnovers and Miami had 2.

3 Teams in the last 10 years have thrown for over 25 INT's in a season:

2015 Maryland - 29 INT's
2010 Miami - 27 INT's
2013 - So Miss 26 INT's

That's why the talented 2010 Miami team (that was ranked #13 Pre-Season but finished 7-6) was so bad

That was the year harris was taking a bunch of hits too. He had heisman hype before that game vs terelle Pryor and Ohio state

Precisely!!!

Like I've said before, turnovers eliminate scoring opportunities.

86 INTs from 2007-2010, the Shannon era was plagued by turnovers.
