It's amazing that so many guys here are good with Rix doing worse than Coley with the same players. You don't think he should be doing better than an amateur in his 2nd year as an OC? A guy who was universally panned as a horrific OC and had to take a WR coaching job?

These dopes are acting like Rix took over the offense from Don Coryell or Bill Walsh. All he had to do was be better than Coley. All he had to do was be smarter than JT or Sean from "Born This Way."

I don't think that anyone that's fair and objective can excuse what's going on with the offense.
They are worse and by experience alone should be better but they are not.
If I had to guess and it's just a guess I would say that it's a stubborn coach trying to to something his personal doesn't fit.
In other words not fitting your offense to the talents of your players.
But that's just a guess.
