Three years isn't enough!

Okay, I’ll play along just for kicks. Problem is Manny isn’t showing progress. HIS defense has regressed every year. Players get worse each year; our freshmen always have promise and then disappear each year. No discipline. Lots of penalties. Slow starts nearly every game. Any team with legit coaching curb stomps us. It’s a all a pattern that hasn’t changed and won’t with another year. What must be done eventually must be done immediately.

I'd like to see Diaz get at least one more year because I see what he has done right and see him adjust and fix what is wrong. Just two years is insulting and lame. I'm hoping he can still have the power to get a quality DC. I'm hoping he still has the conviction of recruits to take a chance on the U. He has given us TVD, Garcia, Knighton and our future should be bright. Yet I get laughed at for suggesting he has not had enough time to show what he is driving towards. No one can doubt he loves his job, no one can deny he has been innovative, no one can deny we are a few points from a very successful season. I dread what might be missed by simply giving him one more year, after all we've waited 20 already and now we want to try the same thing that has failed us....how many head coaches do we try before we have that perfect coach. Rome wasn't built in a day! How many great coaches succeeded in two years?
Here is what I want Diaz to do. Fire himself as DC, with the new funds find the best DC on the planet, fire Patke, start leaking who he wants off the portal, build bigger depth at RB and for goodness sake...get some decent LB's. All doable except his future is in doubt which makes most of this difficult. Maybe a new AD will recognize the good in him and pull back. That is if he actually wants to work with the current system and criticisms. Fortunately all the critique has been external and the administration did get rid of a lame AD. Diaz is NOT the problem, yes his inexperience was but he is a quick learner and we've invested 2 years why not one more? Let reason prevail!

Now I'd like legitimate discussion as to why he doesn't deserve more time. Not just fraggle is nuts, fraggle is Diaz...nonsense, I've been around since Grassy started this forum. I've seen our team before the 80's until now and recycling coaches AGAIN does not make sense.
It’s over, find something else to obsess over

Diaz is a hemorrhaging band-aid. He can act like he's trying to do the right things but it's obvious from casual fans that he's in over his head - so inside that program, it has to be glaring.

The comments coming out of this program are unacceptable, from practice habits/work ethic to leadership. He has to go in order to wipe this program clean and start over.....AD/HC on down.

IF.....UM gives Manuela another year, it will be predicated with this....Manny, you will hire a top notch DC and that DC will not be running your defense. Problem is, what DC will come here knowing if Manny gets another year, he will be gone following that year. No win situation for ol' Manny. He has to go.

No D Manny has had 6 years being in charge of this putrid defense. His schemes look like pop Warner. No one knows what they are doing

3rd year as HC and 5th or 6th year running a defense that is embarrassing to watch. No recruiting class this year at all. He hasn’t got a LBr here in I don’t know how long. Still can’t tackle. 4th and 17 4th and 14, loss to Duke/ NC/ FIU/ shut out by la tech should have got him fired but we gave him a chance to fix his Defense. Not fixed- I think we missed 8 tackles as I type. He gone
