Upside Case: Win out, actually beat Florida State, beat them again in the ACC Title game (I said this was upside), win the ACC, end up 12-2 and ranked in top 10.
Odds: Less than 5%
Outcome: Golden stays, redeemed, and gets into playoffs 2015 and wins it all in 2016. Critics (including this one) get quiet and bow down to Al.

Expected Case: Lose 3 more games (Ga Tech, Va Tech, and FSU) End up 8-5, crappy December bowl game
Odds: 70%
Outcome: Golden finally gets pressured to fire Donofrio and things get a little bit better but still no championship in next 5 years. Butch goes somewhere else... maybe Florida.. Golden gets the boot in 2016. Miami continues to be laughing stock and fans and alumni keep *****ing.

Downside Case (or upside case, depending on how you look at it): Lose 5 more games (Ga Tech, Va Tech, UNC, FSU, Virginia) end up 6-7 assuming we get invited to the Raid ****roach bowl.
Odds: 25%
Outcome: Board of Trustees finally listen. Golden is fired. They hire Butch (Shalala doesn't make a stink since she's leaving anyway). We get a kick-*** recruiting class. We go to the playoffs in 2016, win it all in 2017.

first of all they're like 5 possible scenarios, including these two more losing to fsu twice finishing 9-4' losing to vt beating gt still getting into acc game. honestly any combo that doesn't get us to charlotte he should be fired.

Why don't we just take it game by game? Seriously and stop trying to predict the future with this team.

We could end the year 3-9. That isn't a mopey idea, that is an actual possibility. None of the remaining games on our schedule is a gimme.

The mere fact that your post has an upside case won't get you more than 7 likes on this site. You should know better. Only mopes allowed.
 
haha pretty hilarious post OP. I agree with what's being implied here. What good did the duke win get us last week? We still looked mediocre. Duke's offense was horrendous, their qb missed WIDE OPEN throws all night, they abandoned the run which was working nicely, and it was a complete downpour. What if the coastal is so pathetic that we limp our way into the acc champ game and lose our bowl game, scraping away wins against crap teams where we still look like an inept and inconsistent team? It just gives Golden something he can brag about to our administration, and prolongs this dormant state we're in. We have talent on this team, we have as promising of a true freshmen qb you could ask for, and we are a solid coach away from being back almost instantly. This staff is a joke and even if we land the number 1 recruiting classes the next 4 years in a row we will consistently under perform. The sooner the better in my opinion...
 
7-5 this year with a coach leaving on their own for a better opportunity. that's it

The fact that your only scenario involving us beating GT is having that win also be tied to TWO wins over FSU this year left me like Art Kehoe 15 mins after crushing a Chinese buffet....desiring more.
