Three putzes

I'm so glad you brought this up.

1. It's a joke. Lighten up. But if you have a problem with my post, I can't wait to read what you respond to the other posts/comments. You must be a busy man.

2. Obviously, when Jesus said "judge not, lest you be judged", it was not absolving the world of all judgment or He would be contradicting Himself. For instance, the Lord is responsible in setting up government, and it is the judicial government's responsibility to judge. And, if we are not to pass judgments, we might as well relieve all the prisons inmates, and give a reprieve to violent criminals like murderers, rapists, child predators (just to name a few), because you know, "judge not".

3. Or, Jesus meant that we shouldn't be quick to pass judgment unless we are willing to be judged by others using our very own standard of judging. And that is the sobering part. Can you image being judged by the same standard you judge others? That's what Jesus meant. But, hey, I'm only a CIS poster with four college degrees in Biblical studies and Christian studies, so what do I know?

4. It was a joke.
Papo, stop taking yourself so serious.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but what Herbstreit said on ESPN Game Day is actually a positive thing for Miami football. So, as a fan of UM, we should be happy that "a bunch of rich-*** old dudes are so weak of ego that they will do whatever a guy on TV tells them to do".
I know what he said, but I also know it's a fairytale that the BoT moved because of it. People on TV have been saying that Miami is a broken program for years. Years ago Marc May said we should be happy to win 7-8 games a year. Hat's off to the dude for speaking the truth, I don't think most people would have done that. But as much as it's what we wanted to hear, there's no way a BoT that's been largely ignoring football made this kind of change based on one guy's opinion.

My man, after Herbie blasted UM administration including President Frenk, UM released a statement, put together a committee (that included Frenk's top lieutenants) to evaluate the athletic department, the AD got fired, Diaz has two feet in the unemployment line......all within two months of Herbie and Game Day.

All of these things were done and are being done in direct response to Herbstreit and Game Day back at the end of September.

But how do you know? Maybe they planned to do this if we lost to FSU. Or the next time we lost a game. Or maybe they just planned on doing it after FSU no matter what happened.

Who told any of you this was in response to Herb?

I think all Herbie’s comments did was bring national attention to what many were already aware of. Whether or not his comments got the change ball rolling is up for debate.
