But don’t you think it would be in the universities best interest to share that they received second opinions before making the decision to have career ending surgery? Why let people wonder?

I was just hoping to get a better understanding of what happened.

If it was just bad luck and you know that these kids had no alternative please let us know.

Otherwise ease up on the Tweed Almighty attitude.

Young was vs Wisky

I know, I was at the game and I don’t recall them ever stopping play or Young walking off in a odd way. It was about in the 3rd when we kept getting tourched I asked my buddy why isn’t young playing and also nobody could pin point them Richards got hurt either

I am not a lawyer nor am I am an expert on HIPAA, but I do know there are laws protecting the patient's rights to their medical records.
In other words, what kind of procedures, how (if any) follow-up opinions the players got, etc is none of our business.
The hippa laws restrict health care providers and their business associates from releasing or discussing info. I don’t believe a football team or school falls under hippa regs.

Actually, maybe the university does if they own and employee the practitioner and health care facilities. But since we do get updates on player injuries, I’m not so sure.

Yep on second paragraph.

It does.
Medical records are created and updated when you have physicals, procedures, surgeries, etc and, again, those are private.
No exemptions just because you play college football.

This.

And this is likely why Miami's injury reports are vague, i.e., 'upper extremity' or 'lower extremity'.

The players only see physicians and therapists employed by the university?
