Any chance we get more under center traditional formations and run and play action off of like the great teams did
Stanford missed 25 tackles in the field of play last night, and we still only averaged 5.5 yards per play. That’s atrocious.Stanford is not good and in no way should have held us to no ******* points in the first quarter. Somebody is too ******* stubborn to keep running the same **** over and over when teams are clearly geared up for whatever the **** is our offensive game plan. Yea we overpowered a weak opponent. The stubbornness of the offense is depressing. The sad part is, some asshat will say look.. we scored 40 points doing it that way. That bull**** is a recipe for more losses. I am not impressed with the game plan at all but I will thank the football gods for Toney and Fletcher.
Oh yeah, those mother ****ers better start calling the clear holds on our DL (Bain). It's getting waaaay to obvious to ignore. Even the announcer was calling it out. The acc is ******* stupid if they continue to let teams hold Bain all game. The guy would be getting so much more press and Miami is really the only threat from the acc in the playoffs.
I'm ******* ****ed, don't ask me if I'm alright.
Actually wouldn’t mind some traditional I formation. And yes the play action off that could be bigAny chance we get more under center traditional formations and run and play action off of like the great teams did
The passion he has to hand the ball off for 6 straight minutes is what legends are made of -- QB1.One thing I'll add is that I absolutely love the attitude Emory plays with. His energy when he gets in is palpable and I for one appreciate it.
Luckily it was Stanford, wasting plays and wasting time for entire quarters is the recipe for what happened with louisville. Somebody really really needs to learn from that. Make the defense think and stop making the field so small. Why make it harder for the offense? The slow start was frustrating, but not surprising. We needed to get the "wiggles" out (IYKYK), had we not rolled them I'd be more concerned.
When the announcer is basically calling the refs out, that's a problem.
Carson is a game manager, give him the scheme and establish the tempo and he will manage that. Last night once we got in tempo things started to fall in place. Yes, it was Stanford, but moving the pieces around and changing those pieces all established a tempo and momentum. Beck thrives as a manager in that environment. Let’s keep it going and build on it. And you’re right about Mirabel. Appreciate him, but WTF, open up the running game.Wish we would call out Mirabel. The triple I formation is all him and the run game had success in 2nd half because it was Stanford. It don’t work in the 2nd half against Louisville and it won’t work against teams that are even moderately stout up the middle like Pitt or teams that commit to that moving forward.
I will believe how good our tackles are when we run more off tackle, our supposed strength.
This. Our fans hate talking about execution, but if we don't botch a FG and drop a 4th diwn conversion deep in Stanford territory, we are up at halftime, probably by 10 points. The 4th and 1 failure in the 2md half was dumb. Stanford was doing nothing on offense. Take the points.
This game should have been done and dusted. You can't have 3 trips inside the 30 and come away with nothing. This team leaves a TON of points on the field.
All in all, the 2nd half was excellent, but the game should have been a blowout much earlier.
It should have started with the first offensive series. Execution is a problem no doubt but the occasional **** up wouldn't have such an effect if it weren't for all the other wasted plays. The offense could be so much better if it weren't so schematically ******* boring. Our fans hate talking about execution, but if we don't botch a FG and drop a 4th diwn conversion deep in Stanford territory, we are up at halftime, probably by 10 points. If only he could have built some confidence back against a poor pass defense somewhere on our schedule.Call me negative, but if any ten decides to follow the Louisville game plan and run quick passes we will get beaten again.
I think Beck is broken or exposed. Whatever you want to call it. He’s unathletic when he runs and right now is definitely not confident. He needs a boost for sure.
I don’t see a dominant OL. And I think it’s on the OC. Stanford was regularly beating us to our own spot because we are so bland and obvious in our playcalling.
TEs are terrible. Period, end of story.
We played with fire for a long time with a bad team. That QB sucks, and at times we made him look ok, honestly the drops they had helped us a ton.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...side-the-accs-new-game-day-operations-center/I’ll find out. They’ve been pretty proactive with that kind of stuff in the past through more formal channels.
Who cares if Frank is happy? He’s an old millionaire who will be retired next year.If the shoe was on the other foot MOSTLY all of you would be compalining about the classless act Mario pulled last night. He scores a meaningless TD right at the end of the game. Maybe some of his buddies bet the game who knows. Whatever you guys think its fine but not only is he clueless on coaching day game situations, his clock management is the worst in the history of fooball, and he is a POS trying to score right at the end of the game. THAT WAS CLASSLESS AND FRANK WAS NOT HAPPY!
