Thoughts on rosier sitting down with tvd?

Let's go Malik! Why haven't I updated my avatar since 2017? Because to this day I love the fact Malik and team ripped the hearts out of the Nolies! Those miserable, non-deserving, classless fans walked out of that stadium completely in shock!! Defeated!!! I'll never forget having breakfast the next morning at a local Crackerbarrel, yea pretty much the flav in that miserable **** Hole, and just smiling my *** off at all the Nolies sitting around me...

Glorious!! Thank you Malik and wishing this dude much success in his life!!

Leaving the Doak after the win was an unforgettable experience. What a cherished memory. Thank you Malik

You do realize saying "May never lose to them again" is like an announcer saying, "Jedd hasn't missed an extra point in 129 tries..... AND HE HOOKED IT LEFT!!!"

Repent, quick, or we'll lose and you'll never hear the end of it for jinxing us.
I understand your point, but it's not what I said.

I said "may we never lose to them again." It's expressing a desire.

I love Rosier for what he did that season...especially the end of the FSpoo game...but he was under 50% completions for that game..and a 54% passer...he was limited.
Yeah, he was bad at times, so were the people around him (That OL the next year was awful, couldn't pick up a blitz to save their lives), but its on the program for putting itself in that position with two other QBs who were supposed to have the talent to beat him out, but instead were largely a distraction to the team with their antics and suspensions and did more to erode the culture. I loved what King did for us, his leadership. But I like what I've see from TVD even more because of his presence, release and arm strength. King was in a similar predicament and saved Manny last season, before our OL ended his Miami career allowing those two injuries. He will also be under appreciated but was a bright spot during a dim era.

I like Lashlee, more than most on CIS. I especially like what he's done with the QB room, night and day. But he makes mistakes. I don't see much downside to having Malik as an advisor. But I also think there are a lot better options.

idk if you saw but what lashlee did with TVD is especially cool and finally some light went off in one of the coaches heads. he took TVD aside and met with him privately without the other QBs to really do a deep dive in order to figure out what's the best game plan and play calling for him.

Pitt? So 2017? They already won the coastal… they were #2 in the country and could’ve secured a playoff birth even w a loss to Clemson in the acc cg. Right? No? I dunno

w the amount of injuries heading into Clemson, idk if wed be in the playoff even if we had beaten Pitt. either way, it ended up equaling out in terms of what we really were vs where we were in the polls.

I didnt read the first six pages but...

There's always been a belief that the guys who struggled to make it as a player often turn into the best coaches. They're the ones who had to work harder than other and learn every trick in the book in order to make a roster. Of course Don Shula is always cited as the most famous example of this. A low round draft pick who struggled to make it as a DB in the NFL who went on to have a decent coaching career.

I would be concerned as the OC or QB coach. Rosier on the same page I am on? Does he read the defense the way I want TVD to read the defense? does Rosier know the plays and situations?

That would be very concerning to me.
I would think thats correct if he were a pro.. But aren't there limits to the number of hours you can spend with players? I don't think they are doing more than spending extra time reviewing film, which in the end has to be a help.

They're usually technicians, though. Malik was far from a technical QB. His release and footwork were out of sync half the time. So just seems a bit odd. The film watching is helpful no matter what, though. And, cool of Rosier to invest in the program either way. Also, Rosier had a gargantuan set of balls most of the time, so hopefully that inspires TVD.
Yeah, my first thought wasn't he's teaching the kid mechanics, it was he's teaching the kid how to be a starter. How to deal with pressure. Whatever you think of the guy, Rosier has more experience being the guy in big games than TVD.

And Tom Landry, Chuck Noll, etc…
